I was told there was an update to my 5.3 Sonos controller running 10.6.8 on a MacPro desktop.
Process started but never finished -was updating the library then came back stuck on "some of your products need to be updated Press Update to update all your Sonos products"
I do not want to upgrade my OS - there are programs running on it now that will not run under a more advanced OS.
I am puzzled that the application updated me to a version of the controller (5.3.2) that DOES NOT WORK with my present system.
What must I do to get MY EXPENSIVE speakers working again?

Yep you need 10.10 on the Mac - maybe if you search you can find older install of the Sonos app.
I would recommend since you don't want to update the Mac to 10.10 go to using a mobile device for your sonos.
