System Update Catch 22

In order to upgrade to S2, Sonos recommends to first remove products that are not compatible. For me, this is a Bridge. They recommend a variety of ways to do this including both "Remove Products" and "Add Boost" (I’ve purchased a Boost). However, both of these functions are grayed out in the S1 app. Message says a "System Update" is needed. Can’t figure out how to remove the Bridge prior to updating to S2 when the functions needed to do so require an S2 update to be accessible. Have I overlooked something? (Note: S1 systems appears to be current: 11.2)
