Surround inactive after app update JAN 2020

Hi all

Since about a year prior to JAN 2020 I am using:

sonos beam 12.2.2

2x symfonusk satellites 12.2.2

Sony KD75XF7596

 

For some reason now the system is only now and then activating the surround speakers. 
it used to play everything even ”false” surround from old movies or youtube, recently i tried the tv settings (audio options on remite) which helped and activated but now it is no longer working with everything. Only when a new movie or source it is active

 

it is soo frustrating that my gear just gets disabled due to an app update..

 

anybody has any idea?
