spotify stopped working on Sonos 5/21

Somewhat like May 6, spotify will broadcast to Sonos through the Sonos app.   It does work through airplay, but says “can’t play this right now” for the Sonos devices that show on the Spotify app


having this problem on multiple devices.  

the status page shows that Spotify is operational.   Is this just me?

Welcome to the Sonos Community and thank you for reaching out with your question.

When you are attempting Spotify playback, are you using the “Direct Control” feature by selecting a speaker at the bottom of the Sporify app or are you starting playback then actively selecting Airplay to send to Sonos?

How many Spotify accounts do you have linked to your Sonos system and do you have any other active Spotify streams already playing when you get this error?

If you are still having difficulty with playback, can you submit a diagnostic report and include the confirmation number in your response so that we can take a look?
