Sonos with Unifi UDM

I’m an Apple user and have my IOS and Sonos devices working across vlans using mDNS.  Unfortunately this doesn’t work for MacOS device.   Any ideas on why not?   Simple solutions?   I was excited I didn’t have to do anything weird to get things working and only discovered the MacOS problem as I was wrapping up.
