Sonos Play:1 not connecting to WiFi

My SONOs Play 1 is not connecting to “SONOS” Wifi.

I recently got a new internet service, using Spectrum and 802.11ac Wave 2 Router Model RAC2V1S router from Sagemcom.

I push the back button, get the orange light, I see the SONOs Wifi show up in my list of wifi but when I get to the next step of connecting, I get the Not connected to Sonos error.


If I go LAN cable and connect directly to the router, it connects fine, it just won’t connect to the WIFI network.  Any ideas what I can do or other troubleshooting tricks?

Sonos requires a 2.4Ghz 802.11 b/g network to connect to. I’d double check the settings on your 802.11 ac router to ensure It is broadcasting such a signal, and is not only using an ac band.
