I am a sonos dealer and have had a sonos on the shelf for wuite some time. I went to set it up for a showroom unit and i plug it in and all i get is a dim white solid light. It wont reaspond with pressing play/vol up nor will it respond to a factory reset. (Play button pressed while pkugging in power)

You may want to call Sonos to discuss it. It might be a hardware issue, perhaps a power supply, etc. Definitely something to talk to them about.
