Question

Sonos Connect

I have a Sonos connect for my wired speakers and the sound cuts out for about 15 to 30 seconds each hour.

I have moved the Sonos connect device, updated my router, and still running into the same issues. The Sonos speakers do not cut in and out.

Any ideas?

Lots of possibilities, not enough information to be certain, so here’s two generic suggestions.

First, read the wifi interference FAQ. It’s entirely possible you’re experiencing one of the issues covered in that doc.

Second, try a simple Wi-Fi refresh for your Sonos system. Unplug all Sonos devices from power, then reboot your router. Once the router comes back up, plug the Sonos devices back in.

If neither of those solutions work for you, I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the phone folks, there are more options available beyond just the diagnostic analysis.
