The Sonos app fails (error code 710 or 1000) when used in the vicinity of one of the shyQ mini boxes (hotspots) but works perfectly when in the vicinity of the SkyQ router.

Hi, SueP50. Welcome to the community. At times, SkyQ boxes can behave as routers or extenders in themselves. It seems this SkyQ Mini box is behaving as a router in its own right which is causing some miscommunication. When a network has multiple wireless extenders/repeaters/accesspoints broadcasting the same WiFi Name/network, ideally, Sonos needs to run in a Boost Setup (This doesn't mean you need a Boost) a Boost setup is when you have at least one Sonos component connected via an ethernet cable directly to your router. See here for details on the difference between a boost and a standard setup. An alternative would be to turn off the 2.4 Ghz's networks being broadcast by the main TV box and the mini boxes so Sonos can only connect to the main router. Sky have their own article on this.
