Sonos Beam periodically not playing sound from TV...

Recently my Sonos Beam has started intermittently (and with increasing frequency) not playing sound from the LG TV when we switch the TV on. I can usually fix it by turning both off, then off at the mains, then back on again. However, last night this approach didn't work and we were unable to watch TV with sound unless I disconnected the Beam entirely (the TV automatically switches to HDMI-ARC sound output if the Beam is plugged in).

Has anyone else had this issue? And how can it be fixed? I am not happy having to switch off/on equipment periodically just to make it work as you'd expect.

Next time it happens, submit a diagnostic and post the reference number here. A Sonos tech will take a look at it for you.
