Sonos Arc not listed as airplay compatible device in sonos app

I’m having difficulties using my new Sonos Arc with Airplay. The Arc is connected to the same network as my phone, however it is not listed as an airplay device. Additionally, when I look at airplay settings in the Sonos App, the message ‘no compatible products found’ is listed under Airplay Compatible Products. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting to wifi and bluetooth which doesn’t seem to help. 

All other apps seem to be working with the Arc, for example Alexa and Spotify. Any ideas for how to get it working with Airplay? Thanks in advance!!

Perhaps see if a reboot of the following devices helps to get Airplay working - check the connection after each step listed to perhaps save rebooting all:

  • Router
  • Mobile device
  • Sonos Arc

Also make sure your device (and Sonos App) are updated.
