Sonos Amp issues

I own a Sonos Amp that I bought about a month ago and it comes up with a white light which is supposed to mean it is connected but my phone 'can't find Sonos services on my Wi-Fi'
I have tried on my sons phone and on mine and I can't seem to get it to work. I love your company and I have been using your products for more than 10 years but if I can't get this I might have to move to another company that is easier to use.

HELP!!!

I'm no expert, but things I have heard said include:
Make sure your Sonos and controller are definitely on the same network and not connected via a repeater/extender.
Turn off ALL your network equipment and then slowly bring everything back online one thing at a time, router first, then Sonos, then other stuff.
