Someone Else's Email Appears on Controllor App

Hi!

I recently moved into a student residence with shared wifi. I bought a wifi extender to pair my Sonos with to keep others from jumping on my speakers. When searching for systems instead of giving me to option to connect to my speakers I’m joining onto someone else’s system in the condo and being asked to sign in to an email I don’t recognize. Has anyone encountered this problem before? How do I work around this and start enjoying my system? Thank you!! :-)

What is your wi-fi extender configured as? You need to be able to create a separate wi-fi SSID and Password and then ensure that your phone is connected to that new wi-fi and follow the actions of this article: https://support.sonos.com/s/article/1061?language=en_US

To keep the Sonos private from other occupants one would need a travel router, not a WiFi extender.

I’ll grab a travel router tomorrow and report back. Thanks guys
