Search Disabled completely in macOS App 8.5[.1]

Hi all,

Just upgraded the controller app on macOS and Search in the App is now disabled.
The input field and search buttons is 'disabled', no matter where in the App I navigate (Library, Apple Music, Soundcloud, TuneIn..):



Anyone else?

Check for software updates. Your players may not be at the correct firmware version.

macOS: 8.5.1 (not working)
iOS: 8.5.1 (works!)

Strange - I checked my Windows desktop no issue.

I would delete the program and re-install.

My wife's Mac did this yesterday. The Sonos app said Updates Required, and once she did that, Search came back.

Hmm, de-installed the App, downloaded a new and now it works..

First time in, what, 10 years? that's been necessary.. 😞
Very occasionally the over-the-top install doesn't quite go right.
