problems with sonos amp and TCL 5 series TV

New install of Sonos amp and TCL 5 series 55in tv today and I cannot get the amp to connect to the TV. I’ve updated all the firmware on both. Tried unplugging the tv and the HDMI cables and then redoing the setup and still no luck. It recognizes that I’m trying to connect to a TCL tv because it gives specific instructions for set up for a TCL in the Sonos amp when I’m running the setup in the Sonos app. The only thing I’m not sure about is the TV is outside and the installer said he had to do a HDMI to cat5 back to HDMI to get the cables through the wall. However the Sonos app clearly recognizes its a TCL TV so not sure that’s the problem either. Any help would be appreciated. Also, I can get it to play music through the app so that part does work
