I recently purchased a preowned Play 5 Gen 1 that was sold as faulty and I am looking to repair it. There is power going to the speaker but instead of the light flashing while it is trying to connect, the light comes on for 3-4 seconds and then goes out. I did manage to get the device to connect to the newtork via cable. It was found and registered on my system and the speaker did work, all good signs I thought. I had to disconnect it but now the above problem has occurred. It will not factory reset and no matter what I do when I plug it in, the light comes on solid for 3-4 seconds and then goes off and is not seen on the Sonos network.
I have seen previous posts where this has happened but no solutions to the problem. I don't mind DIY repairing the device if a part has blown, but could use a little help in the direction to go.
