Hi,
sorry if this is a common topic, but I can't find any answer to this one.
I have a Philips TV about 4 years old (40pfl3008t/12) with no optical output, so I am using a coax > optical converter. During setup, the Sonos controller won't recognize sound from the TV. I have checked and re-checked the cables and the converter, but they are brand new and should be ok. I don't see any light from the connection on the Playbar, is that something that I should?
Any ideas of how to troubleshoot? I'm out of ideas.
Thanks,

This then turned out to actually be the TV HDMI inputs that caused the problem.
Might be worth changing the audio out type
Thanks gavkingks!
I have pcm as output. But I do use hdmi as my usage is 100% Apple TV. Did you abandon hdmi?
