Play:5 wireless no longer works

I have a pair of Play:5's. They worked for a couple months, but now the Left speaker won't work over wireless. If I connect the ethernet, it works just fine. Without the hard-wire, it appears to work (solid white light), but attempts to interact with it via the (mobile or Mac) it responds erratically and ultimately doesn't work. I've tried many different configurations and tested many things. No luck.

We could guess and waste a lot of time, especially yours, and find it was a hardware failure of the wireless in the P:5 all along. If you phone Sonos Support they can remote access your system and take a look. Or you might run a diagnostic when it is failing to work wirelessly and post the confirmation number back here.
