play 5 no led light. audio keeps cutting out

On anything I have Sonos try and play the audio stops and cuts out and skips . I noticed my play 5s are no longer displaying a solid led light. They aren’t showing any light. How do I fix this?

There’s advice on the Sonos website but https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3406?language=en_US might help as a start. 
 

For sound cutting out it’s often a wifi interference problem. 
 

With the Play:5’s can they play anything through the Aux input? Can you temporarily run an Ethernet cable to one or both for testing purposes?
