Hi,
I own three play 5, and one of them suddenly shut down.
No light, noe help in factory reset or changing the power cable with one of the others I know work.
I´ve also tried it without power 24h and then factory reset; no help.
All my speakers have not been moved since new, no changes in wifi or other setup, used with caution all the time.
When i search the web about this, I see that I´m not alone.
Is this a weakness with the play 5 (and others components)?
What errors have Sonos found when looked at these shut-down not restarting play 5?
Regards,
Magnus Topper.

All electrical and electronic devices will fail at some point so one wouldn't expect to be alone in reporting a failure.
Your best bet is to give Sonos a call and let them talk you through the issue and if the unit is in warranty arrange a replacement and if it is only recently out of warranty they may offer a reduced cost replacement
