The Sonos app on Android won't accept my password, have reset it a number of times

Check the email on the account:

On iOS or Android:
  1. Open the Sonos app on your mobile device.
  2. From the More tab, tap on Settings > Account.
  3. Here you can view the email address that your account is registered to.

If you don't recognize the account, you can transfer to another account:

On iOS or Android:
  1. Open the Sonos app on your mobile device.
  2. From the More tab, tap on Settings > Account > Transfer System Ownership.
  3. Enter your Sonos account password and tap Sign In.
  • If you don't know the password for your account and don't have access to the emails that is currently in use, tap I don't have access to this email.
  1. Tap Transfer.
  2. Enter the email for the new account, acknowledge the privacy statement, and tap Continue.
I am having the same problem. I have reset the password several times. I cannot check the email address is correct because it says I have to sign in I cannot sign in because the app wont accept the password. Any ideas?
I had the same issue. In the end I called Sonos support and they found out that my speakers were connected to an unknown email account. We were not able to find out how that was possible but it was easily fixed.
