Issues with Beam and Connect Amp Surrounds

Hello,

Just set up a Connect:AMP via the wired setup with my Beam. I then moved my Connect:AMP to the closet with the speaker wires (Running wirelessly) leaving the Beam connected with wired ethernet. I see both units on SonosNet, but can't get anything through the AMP unless I remove them as surrounds.

Nevermind...looks like the Connect:AMP cannot work wirelessly in a 5.1 setup.
That’s correct. It doesn’t have the 5Ghz antenna that the data is sent on. It does need to be wired.

@Airgetlam Are you saying that the Connect:AMP can be used supplying the rears in a 5.1 set up when wired? I didn’t know that. Do you maybe have a link for more information?

Does this also mean that a Connect could be used to power active rear speakers (or a stereo Amp) in a 5.1 set up if wired?

I am afraid the Connect cannot be used with surround speakers.
