Sonos continues to drop, skip or fail to play. Router is Google wifi, netgear modem. I have 4 stereo pairs of speakers, one single speaker. All other wireless devices in the house have no issue running flawlessly-iPad, phones, tablet, etc. latest feedback from Sonos is that I have a multicast packet issue. Moved my router to another central location but still no improvement. Any suggestions? Something else to try?
The Sonos app has been getting worse and worse in terms of connecting to my systems. A lot of the time only some of them appear, if I reboot my phone and the sometimes the systems they reappear. Now it cant connect and keeps telling me my network has changed or that I need to reboot my router and reconnect my systems. They are connected to the network fine and can stream music, just I cannot talk to them using the app. Anyone had a solution from Sonos to fix this, the app used to work so well now the whole system is bordering on useless.
Hi guys ,i want to fixe my playbar on the wall. there arias a special kit from sonos or the TV Sanus wall fixation. This second option sounds good but the playbar is fixed juste under the television with no space between the playbar and the tv… In the playbar instructions it is writen we must keep a space between the tv and the playbar (25mm if under tv or 50 mm if on top) for a better audio performance…is it an issue with Sanus fixation ? tks
Hi, I am have having problems with the next/previous media keys on my new Logitech K780 Keyboard. Initially, when I set up the keyboard everything worked fine. It controlled which ever media player I had open, including (& most importantly) the Sonos Desktop App. Then yesterday they stopped working with the Sonos desktop app. Specifically the next and pervious song keys stopped working. All other keys including play/pause works fine. I have tried an online **keyboard test** , tried using other media player and my K780 controls iTunes and Spotify fine. I have also tried using other wireless/bluetooth keyboards and they along with my built in laptop keyboard control the Sonos desktop app to move the song along or go back one fine. I have also tired doing a safe restart on my laptop and disconnect/reconnected the keyboard several time. I have also tried restoring default setting through the Logi Options App. None of these simple troubleshooting methods seem to have solved the problem.
Hi,I’ve got a Sonos One that I purchased 3-4 years ago (roughly). So I’ve owned it since new and never had issues updating when new updates were available. Running Windows 10 with the current Sonos software update. I have omitted the IP address, but it is there and correct. The progress bar for the for the software update completes… then displays the following message: The Sonos controller installer failed to download. I have turned off Windows Firewall and my anti-virus… still no resolve. As a side note, my Sonon One is working, but a little quirky at the moment. I primarily use it for listening to music. Sometimes it will play requested iHeartRadio stations, and sometimes it will just stay silent after a request. Same with Pandora stations. Any help would be appreciated. The Roam cuts in and out for no reason. Pause a tune or select another in iTunes, and the Roam cuts out, and the indicator flashes white and orange. I have factory reset four times, and it has had no impact. I have the same issue with BlueTooth. I wish I had not purchased this—too much hassle. Sounds great when it plays, but it’s a challenge to get this temperamental bit of kit to work. Please advise how to address this or how to return it. My first Sonos product ever, and I wanted to upgrade my whole sound system. I do not have confidence that you are the solution for me. Worst experience ever.Anyone know how to fix this?
Hi, I am having trouble getting my surround and sub connected to my playbar. The setup consists of a playbar, two play ones, and sub. I can setup up all the devices individually and even connect the sub and two play ones in stereo together. But when I try to connect them to the playbar it goes through the whole process and eventually fails at the end. There is a question mark next to the playbar where sub should be. Diagnostic report: 376772923I have already reset and restarted everything. Went though a interference diagnosis. Connected the playbar directly to Ethernet. Etc. Any help most appreciated.
Mon système a toujours bien fonctionné historiquement.
Yesterday I installed my new Sonos arc. As soon as it was installed my move and one SL disappeared from the app. The strange thing is that I can still play music on both directly from Spotify. This makes me think it is a Sonos app issue and not a network issue. Please advise.
I updated my cover art on my music using my Mac’s Music app over a year ago. It shows correctly in iCloud, MacOS, iPadOS, and iOS. All apps and OS are up to date and not in beta. Sonos shows a very old album image that is irritating. I don’t connect to my library directly in Sonos. I use Apple Music, then My Music. There are so many things that are frustrating in the Sonos app. This is absurd though. The problem is not in Apple Music but in the app. Is there a way to refresh the app’s album data?
The key is setting up a well organized Folder Structure by genre, then perform a Folder and File permissions applying inheritance on all. Linux/Unix is picky about permissions.Keep the update manageable. For instance, I had to scale back from a single run of 45,000 songs to batch updates of 10,000 files per Update session, run back to back..My NAS is a small Xbox 2TB drive, reformatted into NTFS, partitioned into Music and Movies, with a total of four partitions and the last being a “blank”, free space, partition that can be used to reset the music library index. My NAS is plugged into a mesh ASUS RT-AX58U router, which simplifies everything with their UI..
So I was having a nightmare with the sonos app after adding Roam. Literally zero speakers showing up - no playbar, Play 1’s or Roam. Did all the usual - unplugged/replugged in speakers, switched router off and on, etc. Nothing worked. However, noticed my wife was having no issues - exact same model of phone and version of the app. this led me to my own device so I went into the setting and did a reset on the network settings, rejoined the WiFi network and now everything is as it should be. thought it useful to share as its good when these rabbit holes actually have a simple fix!
Hi,My sonos system & iOS app updated this morning, and appears to have nuked my music library. When going to Settings > System > Music Library:in Music Library Setup: No network locations are listed, and if I enter the location again it is not added to the list, but the library does show as indexing briefly I have the option to update music index now, but nothing happens when doing thisThe music library icon under Browse is not showing as there is no music. It does show while indexing is running, but no music is visible. I have tried the following to try and resolve the issue:rebooting all sonos devices rebooting my phone uninstalling/reinstalling the sonos app on my phone installing the sonos controller app for windowsUpdate: issue appears to have resolved itself after adding the library location and indexing the library for about the 5th time. I have 3 Symfonisk Bookshelf speakers all in the same room, on wifi, connected to an access point pretty much in the middle of all 3 and I can choose different music to play on each speaker at the same time without issue. The issue I have is when I try to play the same music to all 3 at the same time it only plays through one. If I choose any combo of 2 to play then it works (speakers A+B, B+C, A+C all work). If I stereo pair 2 together and play to that pair and the 3rd it still only plays through 2. Anyone have any ideas on what else I can try?
So, I have two Sonos Play:1s and 1one gen2. They are synced to provide music (via Tune-in radio) throughout the house but I find they frequently drop out and I have to restart the app. This also some=times happens if I am streaming spotify (premium) Wifi is working and available because I can see the signal and access internet. There are no other significant bandwidth drains one the network at the time (e.g. no TV or other video streaming). Anyone got any ideas please as it is annoying. Thanks
If I connect the sonos in my kitchen to a LAN cable, the dining room (otherside of brick wall) has a poor very very intermittent sound issue…. If I plug the living room sonos into a LAN cable too, the dining room signal is then perfect…. the living room is further away, but not though any walls…. Is the 2.4 Sonosnet network really that weak? I thought all of my devices would connect to each other in a mesh and make a stable network… doesn’t seem to be that way. Considering just plugging them all into a LAN connection!!! Any thoughts?
One of my music files plays in iTunes and in an iTunes playlist to which it was added on my iMac. When Sonos is synced (indexed) to this iTunes library, the file can be found and played under artist within Sonos. However, although the file is included in the imported playlist in Sonos, when it is played within that imported playlist, Sonos indicates the file can not be found. I can not see any difference in this file and any other file among the thousands of other files and 70 other iTunes playlist imported to Sonos. Could there be something in the file that allows it to play as an album in sonos but confuses sonos when played from the imported playlist? The file was purchased/downloaded from Qobuz Store. When I inspected the metadata from the Qobuz file it had a weird file name (wrong artists). Don’t know if this could allow stand alone playback in Sonos but not Playlist playback? Weird. “Qobuz support” maintains nothing is wrong with the file even though the file name is wrong!
After several years the volume and mute buttons on my 650 control have gone inert . I’m trying to shift these functions to other unassigned buttons on the 650 e.g. the Channel Up/Down switch as the new volume control. However, these the volume and mute functions seem to be tied to the original buttons. Thus deleting the Playbar does not free-up the original buttons. Has anyone successfully done this buttons transfer?
Hi one and all, I’ve had a terrible time connecting my AirPlay on my Apple devices - iPad and iPhone - to my Sonos speakers. It would connect with some one or two of the Sonos One speakers but not with the Beam. And I couldn’t get the system to group. After trying everything I saw on community chat sites like this I tried the trusty last resort. I went around and switched off the Sonos speakers one after the other (and my Sonos Port for good measure) and then turned them back on again. That was five days ago and they have worked a dream ever since. Hope this helps someone. Regards.
Recently switched from Ziply/Frontier/Verizon FIOS to T-Mobile Home Internet.Until this morning, had no problems related to SONOS, but now, get black screen and message “Sorry we can’t connect to SONOS” and the following suggestions:“Let’s try some things:• Turn your Wi-Fi off and on.Unplug your router, then plug it back in.Check the power to your products.• Restart your computer and try again.Changed router or Wi-Fi settings? Go tohttps://faq.sonos.com/NewAP” I’ve tried them all, and can’t get hooked back up. Both are on the same network, which is fed through T-Mobile Gateway to Google mesh wi-fi & out to all devices. Connection to SONOS is fine using the iphone and ipad apps on same network.Any suggestions? Thanks!
