I have the following setup at home... Small router, which has a cisco meraki AP plugged into it - this is where all my devices get wifi etc. My sonos bridge is wired into my router, and currently my devices cannot find the sonos system. Is there any way around this? Or is it not possible to use the Meraki AP in conjunction with this ?
Since the app "upgrade" to 5.0 I've noticed that none of my iPhone 5 audio alerts are working at times. I know Sonos taps into the volume buttons when the app is open and I'm sure this issue is related to this function somehow. To trouble shoot this problem I closed the Sonos 5.0 app from running in the background and all the audio alerts can then be heard. This is repeatable every time. Load the app and you won't hear the phone ring when someone calls, you won't hear the text alert...no audio alerts at all. Close the app and instantly all the audio alerts work again. I know this probably isn't the place for this but I want to be sure you guys are getting this feedback, here's my 2 cents on the new iOS app design...DISLIKE IT IMMENSELY. I do like a couple of the new features (search all music services is great and the new rear surrounds setting option for music are great additions) but the app is a pain in the rear, especially on the iPad. 1st, Why is there no volume control w
Greetings, I don't normally post on here, so I apologise if I'm in the wrong place. I currently switched over from Windows 7 to Linux Mint 16. Are Sonos planning to modify the Sonos Desktop Controller for use in Linux? Can you do this already? If so, how do I go about this? Thanks :)
Sonos Connect keeps dropping off the network. Can connect to it sometimes and it always works after a reboot. Sometimes plays songs, but never manages to get through a whole album. Have tried two different bridges, used different network connections and cables as well as wifi. Have a Play 1 on the same network that has no problems at all. All software updated to latest versions.
My Sonos system has until recently worked perfectly. Now however neither the controller on my iPhone nor the desktop controller on my PC can seem to find my system. I have tried reconnecting the system but despite clearly recognising it when I push the button on the bridge and Play 5, it still fails to connect. Occasionally it sorts itself out but is completely unpredictable and I am rapidly turning from one of the biggest promoters of Sonos to one of its biggest detractors. Having been about to buy 3 more Sonos speakers, I now find myself considering dispensing with the system I have already assembled. Please let me know what this might be happening. I don't believe it can be a firewall setting or anything similar because it worked previously and periodically still works albeit in a very unpredictable manner. Alex Miles
The connection to Spotify is lost over and over again when I try to play songs on my Sonos system. It happens again and again. Sometimes it manages to play half a song, but then stops. It goes on like this for days. Some days it works. Some not. Diagnostics no: 3735414 I have a Netgear CG3700 modem connected to an Airport Extreme 802.11n 5th generation and extended wireless network with an Airport Express 802.11n 5th generation. Using Sonos in the bedroom has always been important to me as I like music to fall asleep to as well as wake up too. However I have always found the volume control extremely poor. I have a Connect Amp and some RS1 Monitor Audio speakers and the room is a little larger than the average bedroom at 15ft x15ft approx. 1) Turning the volume down to very low levels is tricky to say the least because RIGHT NEXT to the lower part of the volume is the mute! and, you guessed it, when I try to use the volume down that low it is all too easy to hit the mute plus the control at the lower volumes when the surroundings are silent the smallest movement is too much. I always thought someone at Sonos would notice this and move the mute away from the lowest part of the volume to the highest or somewhere even further away - but no. it's never moved, so I was left thinking it must be just me who has this problem. Since upgrading to the QAcoustics Concept 20's which are amazing, the sensitivity is hi
Why does your customer service just copy paste answers from your FAQ and doesn't fix real problems? For almost 3 months I have had the problem with Sonos that it doesn't get an internet connection with Asus RT-AC68U and I can't update or use spotify/radio. We tested almost everything with Sonos Senior support engineering, but because Sonos doesn't have good network protocol debugging tools it is hard to find the root cause. It looks like RT-AC68U is not totally compatible with Sonos and Sonos doesn't know why and it feels like they are not capable to resolve this - they just complain about the customer's network settings. Even when it is tested with two operators and connections and all other devices can connect to internet just fine. I tested also with only one Sonos device without any other network devices and same problem.
My setup has a bridge connected to my router and a play:3 connected wirelessly. My router sends out a 5GHz and a 2.4GHz signal and I have found out my iphone/android controllers can only find the sonos device if i connect them to the 5GHz network. My Android device only has 2.4GHz, so I cannot connect it to my Sonos devices. Anyone an idea?
