I am having in issue trying to play music from my device that albums are being scrambled. Tracks are being split out into separate albums, tracks are showing up twice in the same album. I have tried deleting all of the music from my phone and copying back on and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Neither works.
hi all, i have been really enjoying my sonos system and it has grown to fill the whole house. i have: 1x beam 2x play:1 surround 1x sub 5x play one 1x connect the connect has been the most recent addition and i recently bought a beast of a router (netgear nighthawk x10) to solve the problem of weak wifi from the stock router. the stock router has its wifi turned off, and all the sonos is on the 2.4Ghz network appart from the connect which is wired. so here are the issues: recently music has been randomly playing. the worst being the speaker in the bedroom playing in the middle of the night at high volume. it was connected to spotify at the time as i know that has been an issue for other people. no other spotify account has been linked to the network, no kids or animals to push buttons either. the second issue is that the connect kept disappearing from the network, i have only just wired it in and turned off the wifi to see if that helps, but it was about 50cm from the router so it
I have an LG OLED55B8PUA 4k TV. I am intermittently hearing static coming from my Playbar while using the Netflix app from my television. The issue, I believe stems from the Netflix app itself and how it interacts with the playbar. This is because I have a fire stick on an input and if I use the Netflix app on it, I can hear the static as well. Any other app or any other device through an input there is no static coming from the Playbar. The static is intermittent through the Netflix app's only and only appears to be coming from my playbar and not from my two other play ones that I have set up in 5.1 surround mode. My playbar is about 3 years old. Advice?
Hi, This is my diagnostic file: 331521421 I've double checked things such as another networks on same channel, bandwidth, erc. I don't have a super large bandwidth but other services like Pandora play fine. Also I have a network configuration where all the sonos devices, two play:1 and one play:5 and including the bridge have a guaranteed bandwidth of 2 mbps. Thanks
My Sonos equipment works perfectly fine when playing to all the TVs functionality, however the audio will cut out every time I switch the TVs input to say another hdmi source. I have the 5.1 system with the playbar, sub, and the two sonos play 1s for the set up. How do I go about fixing this issue. Ps I have tried another soundbar brand through the optical port and the all of the hdmi inputs had audio feedback so I know it’s not at fault of the tv itself. Can someone help!
Have recently upgraded my plusnet box with a tp link archer ac2800 which sadly seemed to have a problem with Sonos. The reason i upgraded was that the pn box regularly stuttered and slowed down speeds due to the fact that it couldn’t handle too many clients at once. It would slow speeds down over a day or so until I had to reboot it. So so I saw the archer 2800 and thought it looked great. Sadly it just wouldn’t work. Lots of constant dropping out endlessly to the point where I have sent it back and gone back to the pn router. Any idea DES which I should upgrade to? Who has a 2019 upgrade modem/router combo that isn’t working well for them? thank you!
Hi I am hoping someone can help. We have multiple Sonos speakers at home and all work almost flawlessly. All speakers are connected wirelessly using a Sonos Boost. I have one Play 3 speaker that will not connect though, it is found and correctly identified by serial number in the iOS app, and when asked, I press the mute + volume up, but it never connects and the app reports a failure. I've been through every suggestion I've found via the community but am now at a loss. Any help would be appreciated? Thanks in advance. Neil
I have had 2 play:1 and a beam for about 2 weeks. Tonight I keep getting a hell of a lot of issues ... drop out, unable to connect to spotify, unable to connect to sonos, unable to add to que etc etc. I have tried changing channel on wireless and only slightly makes things better. Still getting drop out and songs skipping. Getting a a bit worried I have purchased over $1000 worth of uselessness! Any idea how to fix or box it all back up to the retailer.
My system: play 5 (1st gen), play 5 (2nd gen), play 3, play 1 and a boost. For a couple of years I had been struggling with this setup. The play 5 (1st gen) was constantly dropping out sometimes bringing other speakers offline at the same time. The thing that was confusing me was that using Wi-Fi (not boost) the system was stable. I occasionally lost signal in the far reaches of the house so I bought a boost. That’s when the problems started. The play 5 would play for about 30 seconds then freeze, drop off the system to reappear a couple of minutes later. To be fair the router had its problems with dropouts on other devices but sometimes Netflix (for example) would be fine and the sonos would drop out. Only after a lot of searching on forums and by switching ISP (who provided a new modem/router) is my sonos boost setup now as stable as a rock – no issues at all. The problem lies with the Asus DSL-AC68U. The router itself is fine – however the built in modem is not stable and drops the
Admittedly, I have older hardware. I have a ZoneBridge wired to my router, and a ZonePlayer 80 connected to my amp. I open the App on my iPhone - you need to add at least one Sonos speaker... OK, I don't have a speaker, so more options, add Boost or Bridge.Even though it is connected, I connect again. Then to add a speaker - well, don't have one of those either - I have a ZonePlayer (which I was told before is a 'Connect'). Follow directions and it find it, but then one of two things happen. 1) After it finds it, it fails to connect. 2) After it finds it, the app hangs I think the recent update horked something - I am noticing 45 minute hold times... hmm...
My setup is Playbase with two Play:1 speakers acting as surrounds. Noticed yesterday that there was no output from the surrounds when there should have been. After various resetting and experimentation, found that the whole setup now only works when all 3 units are connected via ethernet. All showing WM:0 in app. When the surrounds are disconnected from ethernet, both showing WM:1 in app, no output. Playbase remains WM:0 in app. When Playbase is disconnected from ethernet, it disappears and is lost. Suspect Playbase wifi card failure! Submitted diagnostic ref: 1638640863 for analysis.
Hi there, I recently moved my speakers (5Xplay1, 2xPlay5) to SonosNet as they were constantly disappearing from the Sonos App. Since then, the sonos app has worked fine (yay!, after 2 years not realizing sonos doesn't work well with a mesh wifi network), but Spotify cannot see any of my speakers. Please help - diagnostic 513134322
Hello, So last time I updated the Sonos app on my iPhone (May 2019?) I got a warning that lock screen controls won’t work. They were right, neither can I change the volume when in the app using the iPhone vol buttons. Ive been through the disable airplay everywhere to get lock screen controls to work a year or so ago, no problem with that as I don’t use AirPlay. The problem is everything seems to still say that will solve the problem, but I haven’t added anything that uses airplay and it doesn’t work. I think the only airplay item I have that it needs disabling on would be sky Q, don’t have Apple TV. Please help, I use my Sonos all the time, having to unlock my phone and open the app to change the volume is the most serious of first world problems.
I see this has occurred for a number of users, however I even have a situation where my alarm is already active and playing internet radio, and a second overlapping alarm is activated, but with the Sonos chime, even though I must have a connection to the internet
I noticed an issue recently when playing PS4, with Sub dropping out and sound was weaker. I have Playbar, Sub and two rear play 1's (these aren't on unless we watch movies). It has started when watching TV, any ideas would be great as its very irritating with a significant drop in sound quality until the Sub comes online again. Sub is connected via wifi, with Playbar on optical of TV, never had issues before only started in last few months. diagnostic reference: 1196559141. Any help would be great,
I have submitted a diagnostics, this has only been recent annoying problem and use the device most evenings. I have gone through so many steps - reset router, reset all three speakers in the house, trying different Spotify accounts etc. Diagnostics number - 1114748805
I have a Connect Amp outdoors, with a wireless connection to my home WiFi and have 2x Bose outdoor speakers wired into the Connect Amp. I have a bunch of Play 1s indoors along with a Playbar hooked up to my TV, and I also have a Sub. When I play YouTube on TV and add my outdoor speakers (Connect Amp) to the Group, the volume of my outdoor speakers lowers down to around 20% by itself after 2-3 seconds of turning it on. This never used to happen but has started happening in the past 2 weeks. When I play Amazon Music or such, I have no issues. I have to take the outdoor speakers out of the group, then add it back in, in order to be able to raise the volume again, only to see it bring the volume back to 20% by itself again. Again, if I am playing Amazon Music or Spotify on my indoor Sonos speakers and add outdoor speakers to the group, I dont have this problem. What do you think is going on, and how can I fix this?
