Hi All, I have not had this issue before unless I had been using my Spotify account on another device. My sonos is unable to connect to my Spotify and play any of the tracks. I have removed the service and reauthorised it, however I am still getting the issue. I have tested that I can use the spotify service on my other devices and they have no issue. I have tested if it is isolated to Spotify service which it is. Tunein Radio works fine for example. I have factory reset my Sonos Play:1 and it still has this issue. I change my connection from Wi-Fi to Wired even, and still no change. I'll appreciate any report on the status of Sonos to Spotify connectivity.
I've been trying to add my music library, which lives on an external RAID volume connected to my Mac. Followed all the steps, and the result I get is "Error. Sonos was unable to add the music folder. Sonos was not able to start the music library server because your players are not compatible. Please check for updates." I tried googling "because your players are not compatible" and get very little luck. The guided diagnostics gives me nothing to go on because there is no error code. My diagnostic code is 4846680. Any help would be much appreciated.
I've used my Sonos Play 1 System for about 6 months now, with no troubles adding and playing music off my Music Library that I have downloaded on my Mac. Just today, this problem came about when I tried to play music off my Sonos App Controller as per usual. It would not find nor recognise my computer when I tried to configure the Music File I have set it to. I have tried re-installing my SONOS controller for my Mac, changing my firewall settings to allow the SONOS system, restarting my Wireless Router, everything that they say on other forums to do to fix the problem, but I continue to have the same issue. I have submitted my Support Diagnostics, the confirmation number is 6660351. Please respond so I can fix the issue promptly, as it feels that SONOS may have not been the best speaker for me through the technical difficulties.
I've succeeded in getting my Sonos to play from ITunes on my NAS, but I could not see any of my playlists After reading on this forum I realised iTunes records the Playlist in the file 'iTunes Music Library.xml' Even though I run iTunes of my NAS and I've conolidated my iTunes libraries this file is located on my PC not on the NAS. So I copied it to my NAS Music folder and now I can access the playlists! Yay ... sort of. The problem with this fix is I will have to repeat the file copy every time I change iTunes playlists as the master is on PC not NAS. Hoping someone can offer a nifty solution ... ?
I have a total of 6 Play 5 speakers. 2 of them are dead. They are well out of warranty. I have I have 45 years experience as a consumer electronics technician. Since they are out of warranty, I disassembled them and verified that the main board (amplifiers and power supply) is dead, the power rails never come up.. Today I called Sonos and found out that: 1) Sonos will not supply parts or schematics 2) They will not touch them since they have been disassembled. Do i just throw them away? I honestly would have evaluated the situation differently had I known Sonos' policy. In all my years of dealing with virtually every brand of consumer electronics in America, I have not run into a situation where I couldn't buy parts for products that were reasonably new.
I have just updated to release 6.4 and have found that the folowing functions are now greyed out and cannot be selected: Add a Player or Sub Add a Boost or Bridge Music Library Settings Service Settings Add a Radio Station Update Music Library Now Which means that Sonos has become pretty useless I can no longer add music, radio stations etc. Is this a permanent feature? Can I go back to the previous release?
Hi, First-timer here. Sonos worked flawlessly out of the box for a few weeks until recently. I've been having difficulties adding songs from Apple Music's playlists to the Sonos Queue smoothly. It buffers for a very long time (1-5 mins), and 9/10 times I would just get "An error occured while adding songs to the Queue (1002)" Each playlist contains about 1-2K songs. So my workaround has been adding Apple Music's playlists to Sonos playlists, then play from there instead. This workaround has worked worked; however, I can't seem to port all playlists from Apple Music to Sonos. I would get an "Unable to add all songs in [Apple Music playlist name] to [Sonos playlist name]" for a few of them. I am able to add each song separately tho, however, that's just not practical. I've already made the following attempts to resolve the issues: 1. Change router's channel to 1 from Automatic 2. Quit all Sonos controllers on all of my devices 3. Rebooted Play:1s, Connect, as well as my router and he
I have a Playbar and SUB connected to a Samsung UHD-TV. (UE75HU7505 - firmware: 2330) My playbar will drop out 3-6 times during a 2 hour movie. This is very irritating. It happens when streaming from Mediacenter, Apple TV, and cable tuner. No difference between them. This is a TV-only problem, my other players are working fine. Can you help me troubleshoot? Diagnostic: 6611398
For a couple weeks now, I am unable to access any music services through my Sonos iOS app. I've tried removing all the music services and rebooted my iPhone as suggested by one of the threads here. However when I now launch Sonos and attempt to add Spotify or Pandora etc, I get an error authorizing any of my accounts.. It wouldn't even bring me to the login page of Spotify.. How do i get around this? I've even tried restarting my router like ten times.. That does not work either..
Hi, I am unable to connect to my music on my NAS, I can connect to the NAS via my android phone so I know its not sleeping. I can also play music through spotify, I have checked windows firewall and that is allowing Sonos, I also had the same issue a couple of weeks ago and managed to fix it by adding my pc to 'Windows Credentials' however the problem has returned and its really frustrating.
Hello guys I'm a new owner of the Sonos 5.1 system and I'm having issues with a very simple setup. I have the following - Sonos 5.1 configuration (Soundbar, Play 1's and SUB) - brand new 2015 4K TV (Samsung UN50JU7100) - Mac Mini (Late 2012) (El Capitan OSX) The connection is as recommended by Sonos. Connect Sonos to the TV with the supplied Digital Optic cable AND MacMini is connected to the TV with an HDMI cable THE ISSUE: --------------------------------- With this configuration I'm only getting stereo out of the Mac into the Sonos Speakers. On the Mac OS In the Audio MIDI Setup the 5.1 options are all grayed out and I cant even select them. Please, does anyone know how to fix this?
Hello again. Seems problems never leave me in peace. Any music services get cut off connections. Tried rebooting pullling the plug off switching the channels for both sonos and the router and reauthoring re-adding and probably more. I've done every thing I can think of to fix this problem. regardless how many times I have fixed problems they come back to me periodically. It's playing cat and mouse forever. So stressful. Diagnosis number is 6636486.
well... as if my Sonos issues couldn't get any more strange.... I have a managed switch in my living room (STP enabled). The switch is connected via cat6 to my backbone switch and then to my router. Devices connected generally pull a solid 300 MBS on a speed test. Internal traffic moves at near gigE speeds. When I plug my sound bar in to the switch, all traffic gets routed over the Sound Bar's wm0 interface. Internal and Internet traffic slow to about 3-10mbs. Why on earth would the Sound Bar (and how?!) alter the routing tables to make that the desirable path? Is that because the Sound Bar has a lower STP priority than the switch? (If I set the switch to default, it becomes the root STP device). Anyone know how I can keep that from happening?
