I recently updated the app and now nothing works. I keep going round in circles. The app keeps telling me to update which I have done then tells me to add a player, then it says the app needs updating. Now nothing will work! I have deleted and reinstalled the app, this hasn't made a difference.
Hiya, I am unable to connect my laptop to my two Sonos Play:1 systems, my android phone connects perfectly fine but my MacBook Pro 2016 won't allow me to connect. I have attempted to reinstall the controller, use the BETA programme, find the individual files and add them and have changed my firewall settings. All dont seem to make a difference is they're any help you can offer or have anything else to suggest for me to try. Open to any suggestions at this point. Thanks Tarra
we are mounting 65" tv over a fireplace and want to place the playbar on the mantle so that it will be behind the tv when its pulled forward on the bracket. Not totally ideal, but wanted to know if this is a terrible idea. Second choice would be high, over the TV, which in that case, I understand I mount the playbar upsidedown? WOuld love a quick reply from one of you experts! Cheers!
I hooked my Playbar up to my Sony 930c yesterday and for the most part everything works perfectly. I have a TiVO Bolt and noticed when I change channels or anything the audio drops out for a second or two - which is completely NORMAL and happened with my TV speakers. What's NOT normal (hasn't happened before) is when I rewind content or skip ahead the audio plays well for 2-3 seconds, cuts out for 2-3 seconds, then resumes normally. I notice this issue ONLY occurs when RW or FF and doesn't occur on live television or when watching a movie regularly on ATV4. Can anyone confirm if this is normal? In the grand scheme of things it works properly - just wanted to see if anyone else had this issue. PS - When doing the Lip Sync in settings the bar is all the way to the left, by moving it to the right does it delay the audio? Thanks
Hi I am on the software beta programme and I cannot update or add any new devices. If I go to update my playbar during setup mode I get error code 9. I think it is the beta programme. Can I remove myself from the beta programme and just get normal tested software updates from now on? Thanks. Frustrated!
Hello! I have 3 computers at home. Each computer has an iTune internal music folder. When I open my personal computer, I see in Sonos, songs in double and triple because the 3 paths of the 3 libraries exist. Of course, I can only play the songs related to my computer but it becomes very confusing. What is the best solution for each computer to be independent even if it is the same Sonos system? Thanks
Hi, My otherwise very stable Sonos system (SonosNet) has suddenly become very unstable. Zones are cutting out due to "network speed not sufficient to buffer" and zones are disappearing and difficult to group. Usually, fiddling with wireless channel and Sonos channel fixes things in this department. However, this time I can't seem to re-establish a solid system. I have attached a system network matrix, which does contain a lot of orange on the left. So there's something fishy. Am pretty experienced in dealing with issues related to wireless noise, ip conflicts etc. but this one's got me puzzled. Have had to separate Play5 stereo pair (Kitchen + Kitchen R) to be able to play from one players... Everything on my network is running fixed IP addresses. Any ideas?
Added a Playbar and Sub to my existing Sonos network last night. Everything went fine as usual, but when making adjustments to the TV and Playbar setting with regards to how they respond to the volume button on my Verizon FiOS remote control, one of the instructions was to go into the Sonos app and adjust the Room Settings. To my surprise when doing so, I discovered that setting is no longer there. After researching online, I learned that the Room Settings option is not available/visible to Sonos users who are in the beta program, and Hat I'd have to leave the beta program and update the software in order to get that option back. So I logged into the Sonos website and left the beta program, but when I tried updating the software, it failed. I tried updating from my PC, my Sonos remote, my iPhone and my iPad and they all failed. After looking through posts in the Sonos support community, it appears as though this can only be resolved with the help of a Sonos tech. Please hel
I've updatet both Play:5 and controller to 7.0 beta on my Android. But since Android doesn't have trueplay and there are limited access to 7.0 beta through iOS I then factory reset the speaker. But it won't god back to the original versjon. And the iOS items I have won't No longer update it's software, updateerror 9. My Android version works but there are No longer an option to let spotify control the speaker. Play:5 are listed in avaliable devices though but just won't connect. Spotify through Sonos app works. Som what' s the deal? I wan't to try out Trueplay, but since no Apple devices won't be updatet there are no possebility to use it
Hello I used to have a Sonos connect and enjoyed listening to music through it while playing Xbox games with sound effects only (music disabled) I have since bought a Playbar and use it for music and for TV audio. Is it possible for me to play both at the save time to get the same experience I used to? Thanks in advance
Please help. I am very close to throwing this expensive speaker into the sea. We play our music from a mac book with a Play3, standard set up. We have an increasingly frequent error - music stops playing, and the sonos app gives the error message: unable to connect to //Leos-MacBook-Pro-2/Music. We can't play anything for a while till it deems itself ready to play. This is hapening so often that the damn thing is now essentially useless, and I'm fed up. I have tried the following things: - every bloody combination of wifi channels - both for the sonos and for the wifi router. - upgraded the broadband to virgin 200 Mbps (so called) service. - the play 3 is in a different room to the router, but this problem happens when it's in the same room too. I have not (yet) experienced the problem when listening to the radio. Might this problem be more to do with the music library than the wifi signal??? I've emailed the helpdesk with diagnostic stuff but no response....On Monday 28th they said
Alright, so I'm using imported playlists from itunes, and 2/3 of the tracks don't get imported at all,and half of those who do, cant be played due to acces being denied. I did my best to troubleshoot this myself, and non of the classic solutions work or is the issue. The tracks are not DRM procted, they are correct files, they play fine in itunes, i've tried updating libraries, restarting stuff, made sure my sonos had the right admin rights and all. A also made sure the tracks had tags in itunes. I couldn't find a single solution to this issue anywhere. My diagnostics code is 6808294
This is kinda similar to some topics on here, but I just need clarification on one point. I have 6 players in my system, 3 are connected via Ethernet, the remaining via SonosNet. It all works 100% ok except one specific config. I have TV audio as a line-in source to a Connect in our media room, this Connect is connected via Ethernet. When listening to the TV audio in the kitchen (Connect:Amp without ethernet) we get numerous drops throughout the day. Looking at the Network Matrix I can see that the media room Connect shows as having a poor wireless connection (Red, Signal Level 3, Noise Floor -73 -73 -70). However, I am assuming that this is not relevant as it is connected via Ethernet, so the wireless connection info isn't important. Am I missing the point here? All other players show as good so far as wireless connectivity is concerned. One weird thing is that the Ethernet Port Statistics for the player never show any data packets, neither do any of the other Ethernet connec

Hi I have been reading a lot about fitting Sonos speakers in Bathrooms. I know they advertise it that they are OK to use the Play 1 in the bathroom, but in the UK, it doesn't seem to be so clear. While my apartment is being refurbished, I have the ceiling down in the bathroom. Before it gets boarded back up, I thought I better solve this issue as I do want a Play 1 in there. So the power cable can be run through the ceiling plaster board, into its own power source in the Loft (top floor apartment). Will this be ok? It's well away from Zone 1 (round a corner infact - it is an L shaped bathroom), and will be 2.6m high (tall ceilings). Any thoughts? Any help on this would be much much appreciated, and maybe if this question has been answered already, can point me in the right direction.
Hello Community, I have an interesting problem which I am hoping someone has experienced and can help with. My Sonos system is unable to connect with music services (error 1002) and also the controllers won't update. I have iOS (iphones), Android, and PC controllers. I am being prompted to update the Android and PC controllers but whenever I do, it fails with error 1101. Here is what I know: 1. The network is just fine. I can connect with all of the music services using their native apps or browsers and stream fine. I'm writing this on that network. Pandora, Groove, iHeart, etc. And the Sonos controllers can see "parts" of the services. For example, Groove's weekly playlists show up. It's just playing the music (i.e. adding the current queue) that seems to be the problem. 2. The controllers see the Sonos speakers (and I've tried resetting controllers and speakers multiple times). 3. I can play music that is shared on other devices via the Sonos app to the Sonos speakers. So
My Play 5 won't play my TV solo but does play the TV when grouped with other Sonos players and the Play 5 plays at too low a volume. The TV does not appear on the list of menu items (along with line-in, Pandora etc) when just the Play 5 is grouped. I have Playbar connected to a Samsung smart TV by the optical audio cable and I have an ethernet cable connecting the Playbar to the router. I have subwoofer, a play 1 and the play 5 connected wirelessly. The play 5 has a turntable inline connected to it but the issues don't seem to change with the inline plugged or unplugged from the play 5. I love Sonos but so far I am very underwhelmed with the Play 5. Help.
Hi, my wife and I have separate users with separate playlists on our Mac. I have managed to link my new SONOS Play 1 to my playlist and can access it and play music, either from the Mac or my iPhone. But when I loaded SONOS App onto my wife's iPhone, we could only see "my" playlist. so how can I access a different playlist month same mac form different devices?
