Hi, My Sonos system is comprised of a: SUB 2x PLAY 1 PLAY 5 (older model) And the bridge thing that controls it all. The system had been slow to respond, and I am guessing it is something to do with my home network. All speakers are connected wirelessly, apart from the white bridge which is wired to the ASUS router. I have 6 ZyXEL access points (which are wired to the router via a 32 port switch). I have a feeling it is something to do with the complexity of the setup. Would hardwiring all speakers help? And help would be appreciated.
Not sure if this has to do with the recent update or not but using SONOS with my TV system I am now experiencing frequent and annoying cut outs of all speakers. Here is a diagnostic number taken while this is happening. Not sure if this is the correct place o submit this reference. Diagnostics 8226418
I've just bought 2 new playbars direct from Sonos along with the TV mounting bracket. I have setup my own playbar, the 2nd is a gift for Xmas for a family member. I removed my TV from the wall, disconnected all the cables, removed the rear wall mount from the TV, attached the playbar brackets, reattached the TV mount, re-fitted the TV, connected all the cables, turned on and setup the Sonos, added it to my current system and turned on to a horrific audio noise, white noise which is only there when the bar kicks in to play audio. I have googled it and it appears that this is well known to Sonos, so I have followed all the instructions on rebooting, reinstalling etc etc, it makes no difference. Of course it's now Saturday and there is no one to call at Sonos to arrange a return and I'm left with the dilemma just days from Xmas, do I open the 2nd playbar and test, use this one for myself if it works with the hope there is enough time for Sonos to collect and deliver me a new replaceme
Hi there, I have a tima capsule used only as wired-to-the router NAS (no WiFi). When playing music from any controller (iMac, iPad, iPhone) after a couple of minutes it starts skipping or it stops streaming, it seems that the connection with the NAS is not enough stable. The firewall is, I guess, correctly set up for Sonos. I also tried switching channels but nothing change. Before the library, two different iTunes libraries copied in the TC partition not used for backing up the Mac, was placed in an hd USBd to the iMac and no issue in streaming. Also radio streaming works perfectly. Any further idea please? Thanks Rem
We have a Playbar/Sub system hooked up to our Sharp television using an optical cable. An xbox one and Comcast box are connected to TV using HDMI cables. We have this strange issue where the volume seems to creep up over time. This is rather annoying when our boys are playing video games either late at night or early in the morning. This has been going on for a while, so it's definitely not a case of someone sitting on the remote control or anything like that - definitely not an isolated incident. Case in point - my younger son is playing a game right now. I used the app to set the volume for the system right under the "a" in Manage in the menu above it. Over time the volume will shift up to "g" in manage, and the remote control has been on the coffee table in front me untouched the whole time. Any ideas on what could be causing this
Album art is visible - then not visible when scrolling and needs to load again. Not a great user experience.
Hi I use a lenovo tab 2 A10 and Amazon Music. And my issue is this:- When I scroll through artists / albums / my sonos the album or artist artwork loads, but when I scroll back up it has gone and therefore starts to load again, same if I scroll back down. As a consequence the view is never settled and is always attempting to update. If I do a similar action is the Amazon music app, once it is loaded it stays loaded irrespective of if I scroll up or down again, It is very annoying and causes a pretty poor user experience in Sonos. Has anyone experienced similar and can suggest a way so that once the album or artist is visible, it stays visible when I scroll? Any settings need changed? Help greatly appreciated. thanks.
This Community has several solutions where no artwork shows but my problem is slightly different. When playing music, the album artwork shows up. However, there are no album thumbnails when viewing the Library index. The artwork is definitely there, in the right place and in the right format 'cus it shows when I select the album. But when I'm browsing the list of albums, for example, just grey boxes instead of album thumbnails. Incidentally, I don't use iTunes so any solution that relies on iTunes is no good for me - sorry.
I have a 5.1 set up in my living room consisting of a play bar, bass and 2 x play 1’s. I have recently experienced a crackling noise from my right hand side play 1 and can’t determine the cause. I have submitted a diagnostic and my confirmation number is: 8231300. Can someone please advise what may be causing this? Thanks Stuart Godfrey
Hi, since introduction of the app version 8.x, all 3 times that I did update it, the process took more time than usual. The "finishing up" step is the one that is taking much more time and giving an error at the end. The strange point is that even experiencing an error message, the app was updated. (It was necessary to power down, power up the bridge that is the wired unit to the router that start seeing all devices again ) I have noted that the connect:Amp is the one that takes longer in the process (blinking the white light till having the error msg), but in the end the unit was updated. Here goes the number os the diagnostic: 8221308 for Sonos reference. I am afraid of having issues in a near future and having errors is not the expected result when you are simply updating the system. Right now everything is working perfectly, but I would like to understand what is happening. Units: 1 Connect:Amp, 1 Playbar, 1 Play One, 1 old Play 5, 1 Play 3, 1 bridge
Hi, I’ve just bought a Sonos One with Alexa. Once I’m playing a song through the Sonos app using spot Alexa can control basic functions - pause / volume / next track etc but doesn’t find any music. Perhaps I’m missing something obvious but any suggestions would be really helpful. Thanks.
Hello - I'm experience a random popping noise on my Playbar + two Play 1s while watching TV. It doesn't always happen consistently, but has been occurring quite a bit more frequently over the last week or so. I recently ran an update last week, so maybe that has something to do with it? I just submitted a diagnostics test as well (#8233755). Does anybody have any advice on how best to remedy / improve the situation? Thanks!!
