I have a play 5 gen 1. I am having problems connecting. I set up the system ok. Play music via spotify for 5 mins. Then I get message saying connection lost. The app then says "system not found". I've tried rebooting the play 5. Router. Reinstalled the app. Connect directly to router via eathernet cable. No joy. Any suggestions.
Does anyone use an optical switch with their Sonos Playbar? I just purchased the following from Amazon and it works awesome (for the most part). I'm noticing quick and random audio cutouts and I'm wondering if its form the Playbar or Optical Switch. Here's the one I ordered - does anyone else have this type of setup? I had one Sonos Play 1, tuned with trueplay. I tuned it using a borrowed iPad because I normally use my sonos with my Android Phone. Recently I have added another Sonos Play 1 to create a stereo pair (L+R). When creating the stereo pair, the trueplay calibration was lost and this time I borrowed an iPhone 5 to perform the trueplay calibration. Unfortunately, when I connected the ios Sonos app to my setup this morning the menu options were very limited and did not contain the trueplay tuning option. Browsing the forums here I figured the IOS must be running in limited mode because it thinks I am running a beta version of the sonos software on my setup, but I never joined the beta program. On my android phone everything looks normal. Does anybody know what is the matter and maybe how I can resolve it?
I've had Sonos about a month - love it ! All of the sudden, my Sonos Play 3 stopped playing and the bar to change volume that used to change 2 speakers now just controls by Play 5 in the living room. It is seen on the router, it is seen on the app under Room settings - but it will not play. I rebooted my router and the speaker. I re-set it up including the tuning and can hear that sound as I walk around the room. But then when I go to play music, it does not play. I *think* the Sonos app updated. Could it be something in there since the hardware itself and the connection seem to be fine? Neither the iPad or the iPhone app will control it. I do not have a bridge. Please help. I miss my music upstairs !!
I'm trying to find out why the bass has disappeared from my Play 5. I tried updating the latest app but when I select 'Open' on the app it returns me to the Sonos page telling me I need to update. I tried to make sure the Play 1 (I don't use it much) I have is not affected but it is not recognised by the controller.
Support Diagnostics: 6867282 Please help..... Connect Amp was working fine. No problems. Installed latest update through iphone app. Got an error message that update didn't work / try again (don't recall exactly what it said), and now the amp is bricked. White light on the front blinks non-stop. I have tried everything I could find on the forums - unplugging / re-plugging amp, rebooting everything (modem, amp, play 5, etc.), connecting amp directly to modem, etc., etc. My Play 5 updated and is working no problem. Thanks for any assistance you can provide.
For some reason I keep getting the message when I am trying to play Pandora Music Service, all other services are working. I believe this occurred when I created a Yonomi account and it created some Routines for me with my devices and I have been unable to get it reconnected. All other music services are working just fine except for Pandora which is what the music service I most recently used when I hit the Play music on the Yonomi app and they all started playing from my favorites. Any suggestions?
Just purchased the Play 1 system and using my ipod touch along with your app and after about 15 minutes of setting up and start playing music the app will close down and state that Existing System Not Found even though the radio station I was using is still playing the app and touch are not talking with the system. Please advise in what is going on as at this moment I feel like taking it back and getting my money back.Regards Ttimm
My iTunes library is on an Apple Time Machine. Sometime during the last couple of "upgrades," Sonos lost my iTunes playlists. Sonos Tech Support keeps pointing me to the same article that tells me to copy my "iTunes Music Library.XML" file into the same directory that contains my Sonos music files, but I've done this and it does not fix the problem. Sonos can see all of my music (artists, albums, songs). However, Sonos only sees a couple of my playlists, and only shows one or two songs in each. Anyone else experiencing this same problem?> Anyone have a fix for it? Thanks
In the Spotify-app I see all my Sonos devices, ready to connect. But when I try to play my music directly from The Spotify app and connect to The Sonos-device, nothing happens. I already tried several things and resets, but it won't work. When connecting to a Play:1 in our sleepingroom, the connection does work. In The livingroom (Play:5) it doesn't. What can I do?
I recently added a connect so that I could route my receiver through my Play:1 speakers. The speakers are paired and work just fine if I play music through Sonos but as soon as I try to play anything through the receiver (line in), only the left speaker works. Any thoughts on how to get my paired Play:1's to both play when I use the line in?
Hi my name is Kris, I am new to the forums so apologies if i use incorrect terminology etc. Just got 2 play 1's and a play 5 the other day, very happy with them, however i have 2 issues which are confusing me. 1. I seem to have some 'greyed out tracks'? (1st photo attached) as you can see some songs show up and will play others do not, yes i have bought them and yes they work on my iphone within 'music' app and they are there in itunes. I seem to have quiet alot of them greayed out or i would hae re-saved a new playlist to try to rectify. Any ideas please??????? 2. I updated some music on my iphone from my mac yesterday, (new playlists and albums) but they do not show up on the sonos app, I have tried re-indexing, but the app says "this will reindex" but then doesnt do anything, so the playlists dont show up??? Any ideas on this one?????? (the 2nd photo shows the playlists in my itunes app on phone but the 3rd image shows that they are not present in Sonos app where they s
I have a SONOS BRIDGE I purchased in 2010. After attempting to update to 7.0, I get a 1101 error. I've tried all the troubleshooting steps with no success. IF I remove the Bridge from my system, and wire another SONOS component directly to the router, everything is fine. But with the bridge in place it errors out. Thoughts?
It's frustrating because this setup is ALMOST really good. But not yet. Spotify Connect will suddenly disconnect from my livingroom speakers (two Sonos 1s, in stereo), and the playback pauses. I have to reconnect manually -- twice, usually -- and restart the music. Anyone else experiencing this (I think so, judging by other posts)? It's hard to know where the bug is (Sonos or Spotify) which makes it hard to push for a fix.
We've had Sonos for a couple of years now (Bridge, Theatre: Playbar/Sub/2xPlay:1, Bedrooms: 2 x Play:1, Kitchen: Play:3) and everything worked fine for that time. I bought my Son a PS4 recently and we now occasionally get audio drop outs for seconds at a time when watching TV which is annoying. It happens particularly when he switches it on (all devices are assigned static IP addresses by our wireless router - in an attempt to stop it happening, but it still does). It also happens whilst the PS4 is just being used. My question is this, do you think it would help if we were to replace the Bridge with a Boost or should we get rid of the Bridge as I believe it's no longer needed? Why is it that the PS4 seems to be causing this issue? I'm convinced it is this that's causing it as it doesn't happen when it's off and it didn't happen prior to buying it. Maybe it needs to go? ;-) Thanks for any help that can be offered!
I have authorised sonos to accept spotify, but when I play a song on spotify, it will connect instantly to ipad, phone, pc, but living room connect which is the sonos, just hangs on connecting. Bridge is connected by Ethernet to router the wireless to play 1 When I open the sonos app on ipad, spotify is there and I can play music that way, but not the other way around.
Hi so I have several SONOS components, 1 "play 1", 2 "play 3", a "connect", a "bridge"... everything has been working fine for well over a year, until 3 days ago. For 3 days now, one of the player 3 just disappears from the network overnight. That's the one in the bedroom, with the alarm, and in the morning, it is just gone (and we are late). Powering it down and back up solves the problem, but it disappears again the following night. I have submitted a diagnostic, the number is 6862000 Any help would be appreciated Thanks Gv
Long-time Sonos user with (annoyingly) intermittent drop-offs, skips, "insufficient network buffer speed" errors, etc. No real rhyme or reason. Have gone through several rounds of diagnostics over the years and tried numerous things. Sonos Customer Support has always been very professional -- and patient. Often will go a number of days with no problems, then one afternoon or evening it's terrible. It is USUALLY (but not always) the case that the more Zones involved, the greater the trouble. OK, here's one pattern: It seems that the problems are really bad when we're having a party. (Just kidding -- but it does sort of feel that way!) Here's my system: Two Play 1's (playing stereo); one Play 3; one Play 5; one more Play 1. All those are wireless. One CONNECT is hard-wired via Ethernet (cat 5) to router along with NAS drive (where Music Library lives). CONNECT:AMP powering two standalone speakers. Skipping/drop-off problems are mostly limited to songs on the Music Library
My issue is when I have site that moved from a NAS into a dedicated Windows Share (new location for content) that all my playlists are void. as the locations seems to be imbedded to the playlists I can see why this is a show stopper sadly. wouldn't it be great to be able at least export the play list before moving or have a index file with names that could be searched against on the new location automatically. maybe in future designs releases? Thanks
