This problem is about double albums by the same Album Name for both disks but different disc numbers in the appropriate field. According to this old post, Sonos reads the disc-number field and will play all tracks of CD1 before first track from CD2: https://en.community.sonos.com/setting-up-sonos-228990/multi-disc-sets-probably-a-common-question-14539 johnseay writes: "Sonos supports the discnumber tag. Track 1 of disc 2 will appear after the last track of disc 1." However, this is not the result I get with flac files where the disc number fields are 1 for CD1 and 2 for CD2. They are sequenced: 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3 e.t.c. Is the information in the old thread wrong or is there something I've missed?
I have installed a WD MYCloud NAS to use for all my music. It's connected directly to the router, as is my Sonos Bridge. The hardware consists of 12 Connect:Amps and the Bridge, as far as I can tell. I didn't install it, so, I'm not certain. However, that's all I can see. I really don't believe the Sonos hardware is the problem. I have added the music location to the Music Library Settings ( //WDMYCLOUD/Public/Shared Music) and received no errors, yet I am unable to access the music on it. (There's only one album on it at this time) When I check the 'Folder' on the Sonos Controller, it says "No Selections are available." I can access the NAS drive using Windows Explorer and play the music without incident on multiple computers. I can play a music library that's on a computer and in a library folder plus all music services. I cannot figure out why the Sonos will not see the music on the NAS drive. Please help. I've tried all the 'troubleshooting' actions I c
I have added my Google Play Music account to Sonos and have uploaded my entire iTunes music library into Google Play Music. I can see the whole library I uploaded from the Google Play Music website and also when using the Google Play app on my ipad, so its definitely all there. However only part of the library shows up in the Sonos Google Play music library. Many of the Artists and Albums are apparently missing from the lists in Sonos. However, if I use the search facility in Sonos, I can find them. So Sonos can find the relevant Artists/Albums but they do not appear in the relevant lists. Can anyone help?
We have sonos in the workplace, recently speakers (play 3) keep dropping out and back in, the Sonos app crashes and the playlist randomly stop playing. We have a boost and a bridge, neither of which I can get to connect to the Sonos app. Both have their MAC address enabled through our security, and both have a port configured so bridge or boost can connect. Both get a signal, but when trying to connect to Sonos the bridge comes back with error "Product must be wired". This is saying it must be connected to the wifi router directly, however, this is not easily done as we are a large business and wifi is configured slightly differently. Would there be anything else I can check to resolve this? Thanks
I hadn't used the windows controller in a while, but when I used it today it caused my computer to blue screen. No damage that can see, my computer just ran a test and restarted, it's all fine. So I launched Sonos again and the second it opened my computer blue screened again. I'm using Windows 10. So I thought maybe I have an outdated version or something, so I go to control panel and uninstall it and I use Chrome to come to this (your) website to reinstall it. But Chrome says the installer I downloaded could harm my computer. What's going on? I'm not going to install it, I trust Chrome.
#1 - Stop pressing the buttons. It's doing you no good. "Oooooh BUTTONS! I'll press and press and press and...what do you mean, I lost all of my Sonos playlists and favorites because I kept pressing the buttons?" #2 - Stop with the nuclear options - "I couldn't get my radio station to play, so I decided to install everything from scratch!!!!!" If you can't reconnect to Sonos, here's how to get things working again. If you have a Bridge - Check the link lights in back, right where the the ethernet cable connects. No lights, no connectivity. Look at the top of the Bridge - is there a solid light ? If no, then your power cable has fallen out of the wall, or the Bridge itself has become kaput. If you've got lights on top of the Bridge but no link lights where the ethernet cable connects, then replace it with any other style, color, or shape of ethernet cable. If you pick up the Bridge and the lights on back go out,. you've got a bad cable. If you don't have an ethern

Hello, I am running Sonos 6.4 on my MacBook Pro El Capitan 10.11 The controller has now stopped retaining my iTunes music library in the 'Music Source' options. The library is stored on the very same MacBook. I am able to add the library, plays tracks from it but it will then disappear from 'Music Source' options. All help gratefully received!
Hello, It seems that probably due to one or another update of my Sonos Connect, the sound is distorted ever since. It is rather subtle, but once one is aware of it, using the Sonos becomes rather impossible. At very specific sounds or frequencies, a strange echo or hollow accent is added to it. Any ideas? Can I revert to older firmwares to check? Best regards, Anton
Hello, I am at my wits end and about to throw my Sonos system in the bin! My system is so unpredictable its ridiculous - recently i use the app to turn on my Sonos and its just searches and cannot find my system. I've move it as far as the ethernet cable will allow me to move it, unplugged it, unplugged all the system in order, and then it'll work for an afternoon then click on and off and then cannot find system!! Anyone else losing the will to live with system? Any help or ideas as to how to get the system to work every time i turn it on and run smoothly will be muchly appreciated!! Thanks John
I have been very happy using Sonos. Apart from the connection to the Internet, I have 2 stereo sets connected and a Play5. Just recently my IPad is unable to get connected and on starting it every time asks for "Install new SONOS system" or "connect to existing system" I have de-installed the app, tried to reset all devices but still am not able to get connected. Please advise on getting my SONOS friend up and running again
I am running sonos with both connect and connect: amp components. I have also added a boost component. I am using a fios-based system with two extenders connected directly by coaxial cable; the boost is hard wired to one of the extenders. The individual room component I select regularly drops the wireless connection. I have separated the router from the boost, and moved a wireless phone two feet from the router. I have also selected a separate wireless channel for the sonos system and activated a sonosnet network. I have submitted a diagnostic. The confirmation number is 6695665.
Hi all, I continue to have problems with my Playbar leaving the group when playing a music source (1 Playbar, 1 Play 1, 1 Play 3 each in separate rooms). When this happens, the other players continue to play, but when I look at the Sonos app the Playbar shows it has reverted to the TV source. My theory is that the Playbar may be getting a short burst of audio or a false signal from the TV despite the TV being off, which is enough to briefly cause the Playbar to ungroup and switch to TV audio. On the basis of a discussion with support, I've temporarily disabled the 'ungroup on autoplay' setting for the purpose of testing and will of course continue to monitor. However, I've already noticed the undesirable downside of this approach... when switching on the TV the audio will automatically play in all rooms. As a potential workaround, I'm considering purchasing an optical switch. My thinking is that when I want to switch to music I can switch the splitter to an empty input, wh
I am unable to update my music library. I have successfully updated many times but when I go to Manage, the 'update music library now' is not highlighted, so I cannot activate it. I have restarted computer, reset the sonos controller and still will not work. Anyone have any suggestions? Greatly appreciated, Lesley
Certain albums or artists error on trying to play since Sierra update. Radio works. file sharing on. firewall accepting sonos. changed computer name to under 15 characters. Most albums/artist work. It seems to be random ones downloaded through iTunes.
I have installed the Sonos Controller app on my Windows 7 computer, but when I attempt to add my Music folder I get the following error: Sonos was unable to add the music folder Reason: Unable to add the shared folder "\\Computer\Music" to your music library (1002). I have tried connecting to other shares without success.
I have a new Router/Modem from Comcast (Arris TG1682G) that I can't connect to my Playbar. I've tried using the ethernet cable, reseting the Playbar and modem, but it doesn't connect. After several attempts to add the playbar I was actually able to add my Sub and two Play1, so I know Sonos is connecting to my wireless. I did read that this router is not compatible and the solution states: "Wire only one Sonos player or BOOST to the router, or network switch that is connected to the router. Players can also be configured in a daisy chain of Ethernet wiring if necessary. Alternatively, you can setup your Sonos in a Standard Setup." I'm not exactly sure what this means or how to do this.
