My sonos system has started randomly skipping to the next song at times. Sometimes its very frequent, sometimes only once per album. After looking at the forum, I've submitted diagnostic report #6944902 so you guys can take a look. Please let me know what I can do to make it better. Thanks!
Hi, I have one connect and 2 play:1 speakers at home. Connect is wired to my switch (ethernet). Play:1 speakers are connected to connect through sonosnet. Today I frequently lose connection to my sonos devices. When I check my connect I see that its bright white led is pale white and it is not reachable (can't ping). It only turns to normal after plugging off from power and reconnecting. What may be wrong ? what can I do ?
I have two Play 5 as a stereo pair and connected each other with an ethernet cable. Play5 A has the line in coming from the TV/HTPC, Play 5 B is connected to Play 5 A via RJ45 cable. My problem is that since a few weeks Play 5 B is starting to drop the sound for a second or two, then works again, sometimes it crackles a bit and I hear static before the sound comes back. Play5 A is working normally when that happens. The same is for the other side around when I use my turntable connected to line in on Play 5 B. The problem is just reversed in regards to which speaker is affected. Not sure why that happens since I use a direct cable between the two speakers and the wireless network should not be involved here. Line in compression is set to automatic. The issue is that I cannot really enable compression due to the 2 second audio delay. That would kill my setup for my TV/HTPC. Though all this seemed to work up until some weeks ago :(
What happens if you have a Boost wired to your network as well as one other Sonos device? Could this create a loop or some other problem on the wired network? I ask this because I recently began experiencing intermittent problems on my network which ultimately could be cleared only by rebooting the router. In my troubleshooting, I realized that I had the Boost and my Playbar both connected to the network. I have removed one if the connections and the problems seems to have disappeared. Thanks.
Had to change my router; so expected to have to reconnect everything. Sonos however has completely disappeared. Can't find the system on any of my devices. Tried rebooting everything; connecting one device by ethernet etc followed all the instructions and suggestions I found on here - nothing. Tried the helpline. Held for 20 minutes and then got a message saying everyone had gone home for the day. REALLY UNIMPRESSED. Anyone have any practical suggestions?
I have s playbar and a 5 from 3-4 years ago and a one year old 3. Since I chose control from Spotify I cannot play on the older speakers (but all works fine on my 3). It works neither from From the Sonos app nor from Spotify. It looks like the music is playing but there is no sound and when I try to switch song the screen on my iPhone goes grey and I get an error message that it cannot play the marked object or that there was an error when adding song to the queue (1002). I can play Radio or Apple Music on all speakers. Tried in vain to find away to remove control from Spotify. Have sent multiple diagnostics but no answer. Cannot find a number to call.
I am able to set up a pair of Play:1's to work with the sub via wi-fi. I am also able to set up all 4 (Soundbar, Play:1's and the sub) if the sub is plugged into the Ethernet. However, every time I try to get all 4 to work over wi-fi, I always get stuck on "Preparing the speakers in this room to work together" step, that just shows the loader for some time and then shows the error message "Setup problem. Please check your network connection or the power on your speakers in this room". I've tried: - resetting the controller - factory reset on all speakers - setting up while powering up speakers one at a time - setting up after powering speakers all at the same time - resetting the router - moving all devices except for Sonos on a different wi-fi network, so that it has a dedicated network on 2.4GH - setting up using Android app - setting up using Mac app I think I've tried everything I can possibly try. The fact that I can get the Soundbar to work on its own and Play:1's+S
My Play3 and 5 drop off often when listening to my recorded CDs via iTunes. System is BT wifi standard broadband via a Sonos bridge hard wired to a BTHub3. Internet radio is generally fine but the recorded tunes rarely play more than 20 tracks before dropping off. Any ideas?
I have problem with using Spotify on my Sonos. It work fine until for a few weeks ago. On Spotify my Sonos-system is visible as a device, but nothing happens, when I choose it on my phone. I have tried different phones, and pces, but it is the same problem on all. If I try to add Spotify as a service on Sonos I get a error messages telling me, that there is a problem with the wireless system. I can use other music services on Sonos like radio and Tidal, bur not Spotify. I have tried with and without a Sonos bridge. I have also tried with and without cable.
Playing from Spotify works fine for a couple of songs, then it just stops. If I go into the controller I can just press play again and it starts to work again. I have checked my WiFi network and changed channels for minimum interference. Diagnostics report no: 6975636 System been working fine during the holidays, the issue has been going on for 3-4 days. 2 Play 1 in the system.
I have had Sonos for about 7 years now and it has worked very well with my iTunes library. I recently updated iTunes and Sonos and now have developed a problem. Sonos will not update with iTunes and longer and when I tried to start over (delete music library and then add it again) I get the error message Sonos was "Unable to add the shared music folder". Anyone know what I can do to fix this?
I have used SONOS for quite a few years. Originally the Music source was the iTunes Library on my Mac. Then we acquired a QNAP NAS and for most of the time the NAS has been the location of the iTunes library. In the past week the NAS failed and I am now trying to reset the Library to the Mac but every time I try to add it I get the attached error I have read this help: https://sonos.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2412#not_responding I have no firewall on my Mac which is set to share the Music folder I have also tried simply pointing the SONOS directly to the path where my iTunes library is stored but that also results in the same error Please help ? Three out of four of my folders have disappeared from Sonos. They have been fine for several years and their disappearance seems to coincide with the latest software update. The folders are visible from windows explorer so clearly still exist. diagnostic No 6886397
Hi, I hope that someone can help me out. I have a SONOS system with two SONOS:5, two SONOS:Connect and one SONOS:3. I also have a SONOS BOOST. Sometimes when I play in party mode, all the devices with the same source, does the music stop and the group is gone. It looks like the whole system restarts since all the devices are split. Before this happens usually does one or the other speaker volume comes and goes, like if someone was muting it and turning it on. I run the SONOS system with SONOS Net and have checked that my own WIFI doesn't use the same channels. I hope that someone seen this before and know what to do! Regards, Tobias
I notice crackling with the Playbar...but only when watching my recorded shows on CBS. Can anyone else confirm if they have this issue? If you put your ear up close to it you should be able to hear it. Hoping it's CBS' broadcast but who knows. Currently watching Survivor and I thought it was the fire cracking but it's the Playbar crackling.
