Hey there, So as the title says I'm having [s]3[/s] [s]2[/s] 1 problem[s]s[/s] right now with my sonos system. My system consists of two Play:1s and a Connect. [s]Issue 1: Currently one Play:1 is unable to update and has been unable for some time now. When the other parts of the system are connected I get error code 30. I follow those instructions and unplug everything except for the Play:1 that is having issues. I attempt to update again and I am given error code 1101. I don't have direct access to either my modem or router because my network is handled by a 3rd party company paid for by my landlord and I am to assume that both of those pieces of equipment are stored in a locked closet on my floor. I could ask for access to this closet, but I was hoping for a solution that would not involve my landlord.[/s] [i]My ISP requires that I register the MAC addresses of anything I wish to connect to my network. I hadn't noticed that my Play:1s had MAC addresses that weren'
Hi, I would really appreciate any help. My sonos player 1 is connected to the wifi. However, when I try to add music services it does not give me any options. Right now I can only play songs on my itunes, but I want to be able to use spotify. The problem might be that sonos can connect to the wifi, but not to the internet. The wifi is a communal wifi in my apartment, similar to that of a hotel, where you connect and then enter your personalised username and password. Also, when I go click on update app (which I'm fairly sure is the newest update anyway), it tells me Error 1101. And it wont load or tell me any information. So is there anyway to connect it to spotify? If there is a bluetooth option or anything I dont mind. Just as long as I can use spotify on my sonos player. Thanks so much, Alex
Since the latest update (6.3.1), having adjusted the volume of one of the sonos devices (from the sonos controller app on my iphone), the volume of the phone ringer on my iphone is dropped to the relative level that I had just set on the sonos. If you turn the volume of the iphone ringer back to full and then go back into the sonos app and adjust the volume of the music source playing, the same thing happens again! I have restarted every device (inc router etc) in the appropriate order and it has made no difference.
Sonos not finding music, sometimes giving error 1002, sometimes telling me it cant connect. My router is a meter away from my mac and the speaker is less than a meter away from the router. I've restarted, rebooted and tried the support pages, but they are no help at all. Its been happening over the last couple of days and corrected itself, now nothing... Any advice?
Hi there I have recently added two Play:1 speakers to my Sonos ecosystem at home (each one in a different room). The one Play:1 stays connected to both Sonos Controller and Spotify. No problem there. The other Play:1 is only connected to Spotify. I cannot see it in my Sonos Controller app under Rooms. If I switch the Play:1 that is not connected to the Sonos Controller off and on again it seems to reconnect to both Spotify and Sonos Controller. After a while it then disconnects from the Sonos controller again, but is still controllable from Spotify. This problem seems to be slightly different from what some other users on this forum have been experiencing with it not connecting at all. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks

When I listen to Spotify mutes the speakers. Spotify app loses contact with Sonos. The Sonos app, I can not change the song on Spotify. I get a message that says that the song can not be played. After a while, I get a new message that says that Sonos has lost touch with Spotify. What can I do?
In my living room i have a playbay, sub and 2 play3's All off which when connected as home theatre will do nothing except play whats on tv, neither spotify nor tunein will work! Ive narrowed it down to the playbar being the issue as if i dissconect the play 3's and sub, group them together as a room they work as they should Also when theatre is connected i can group it with kitchen that will play spotify and the home theatre room will play spotify Ive tried turning off every sonos player, turningoff power to router and playbar and just rebooting them 2 to no avail Untill recently ive been blown away by sonos and loved it but as it stands i have £1700 system in my living room that wont do anything but play whats on tv!!!! I dont have sonos linked to a pc just 2 phones and 2 tablets, occasionally get 1002 error but most the time just says unable to play
This problem is about double albums by the same Album Name for both disks but different disc numbers in the appropriate field. According to this old post, Sonos reads the disc-number field and will play all tracks of CD1 before first track from CD2: https://en.community.sonos.com/setting-up-sonos-228990/multi-disc-sets-probably-a-common-question-14539 johnseay writes: "Sonos supports the discnumber tag. Track 1 of disc 2 will appear after the last track of disc 1." However, this is not the result I get with flac files where the disc number fields are 1 for CD1 and 2 for CD2. They are sequenced: 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3 e.t.c. Is the information in the old thread wrong or is there something I've missed?
Hi, hope you can help. I've read through similar threads but am not 100% sure if my issue is exactly the same. I have a turntable and a Samsung soundbar linked to my Connect. I also have a Play 3 linked to my system, and generally records are sounding great through my Play 3 and Soundbar, playing through the Line-In. But, every couple of minutes or so sound will cut out for a fraction of a second from the Play 3. But will carry on playing through my soundbar. This is the issue! I've read about wifi interference and have tried changing wifi channels on my router but this hasn't helped. Can anyone suggest any other troubleshooting I should try? Thanks.
Hi, I've seen a lot of threads about controllers not connecting but nothing quite as specific as what I'm seeing. I've got a Playbar connected to my tv via optical cable with two Play:1, a system I've had functioning for several years. I recently updated the hardware as well as the controllers on my Macbook Pro and iPhone and I can no longer connect to the system using any device. I have followed the instructions to add a player to the system, and during setup the controller finds the Playbar, gives me the serial number etc. However, I am unable to move past this step, as pressing and releasing the buttons on the Playbar essentially times out, and the Playbar can no longer be found for some reason. I have done this multiple times, reset the Playbar to the factory settings, restarted my router, etc. and nothing seems to help – stuck here every time. I have tried this from my iPhone as well as my Macbook pro, and I get the same results. ANY ideas would be amazing. Really missing my
hi, I buyed two sonos play 3 and a sonos connect. I would like to connect the sonos play 3 to my sonos connect like one configuration so i would like to have just one room for the complete sonos system but I don't know why I can't do it. I can just regroup two room ( The room with the sonos play 3 and the room with the sonos connect) in one group but i can't create one room with all the sonos system I buyed. So if someone can help me that's will be very great :) And sorry for my english, I try to do my best ^^ Have a goog sunday :D
Hello, we have built in wired speakers downstairs & upstairs, these are connected to two Sonos Connects (one in our Comms cupboard with the broadband router & Vortexbox music hard-drive), the other in our sitting room. The upstairs speakers are controlled by the kitchen room downstairs. The volume in the kitchen is fine but it needs to be turned right up to be heard properly upstairs. This means it is then too loud in the kitchen. Any advice on how to fix this gratefully received. Do I need to get another Connect? Thanks.
Hey guys, I just bought and setup my Play:5 also got a line in to connect to my smart tv.. awesome so sweet. However my slight issue is that the sound is great and comes out when on the line in using a tv channel but when I go to use the Netflix app on the tv there is no sound.. has anyone ever come across this or can suggest ways of trouble shooting
My tune in Radio is always dropping. I have checked my router for interference, changed the channels on my Sonos & router. I have 50mg fiber internet and have no issues with any other devices. It used to work great. I like to use my sonos for an alarm clock and instead of playing for a hour I'm lucky to get 5 minutes before it drops. I have no issues streaming the station directly on my IPad or computer. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I've had Play:3 speakers for over a year now and have not been able to make them work reliably since I got them. They consistently drop songs, hiccup, and fade to the point where I don't use them anymore. I have High-speed internet, no firewall interference, and minimum housectraffic and the Sonos speakers still don't work reliably. I simply want to be able to play songs from my iPhone and have not even bothered to try internet streaming (what's the point). Recently I went out and spent even MORE money and bought a boost box to try and make this Sonos system work. it was more wasted money. Followed the instructions, set it up, SAME inconsistent results. Maybe others have gotten their systems to work but my experience with Sonos has been disapointing at best. Has anyone else had the same crappy experience?
Hi, sorry if this is a common topic, but I can't find any answer to this one. I have a Philips TV about 4 years old (40pfl3008t/12) with no optical output, so I am using a coax > optical converter. During setup, the Sonos controller won't recognize sound from the TV. I have checked and re-checked the cables and the converter, but they are brand new and should be ok. I don't see any light from the connection on the Playbar, is that something that I should? Any ideas of how to troubleshoot? I'm out of ideas. Thanks,
Hi I am having this weird issue. It looks like a metadata issue. Some artists won't show up under "Artists" in the Sonos app, but the songs will show under "songs". In the Apple Music app, everything looks normal. I am talking about DRM free music that resides on the phone itself and not in the Cloud.
