My Sonos system has lost my music folder. I have tried to add it again but i keep getting the message "unable to add the shared folder to music library (1002)" i have tried all the other suggestions such as restarting router and computer, renaming in sharing and network as well but still no joy. No telephone support on a Saturday either which is the only day i can call. Please advice ASAP
I can control my SOnos devices from my PC and phone, and play music. I can play music locally on my PC and my phone from my Spotify app, and I can also transfer the music between the PC and the phone via Spotify Connect. But, I'm not able to connect to the Sonos devices from my Spotify app. Used to work fine with the latest beta version of Sonos, but after installing the new version 7 it does't work anymore. I can see the Sonos devices in my Spotify app, but when selecting one of the devices it says "Connecting...", but after some seconds the music is back on my phone. Seem to be some problem with the connecting process... All devices are on the same WiFi network, everything works fine when played from the Sonos app, have restarted all devices etc. All of my Sonos devices are registered in my Sonos account. Any idea for troubleshooting?
Hi - we have a playbar, sub and two play 1s in the 'TV room', an amp controlling 2 sets of 'ceiling speakers' and a play 5 upstairs. Want to change the wi-fi to the slave router from main one (better coverage) - have written already to get advice via mail but nothing back almost a week later. Is that normal? Also a cracking sound is coming from the play bar when Chromecasting Netflix. Need a solution for that too. Please contact me. Thanks Ant
Right now I usually use headphones to output audio since I'm in an apartment, but I am looking at getting some decent wireless speakers for times of the day that won't drive my neighbors nuts. What I'm trying to do: Ideally I would like to connect use my Intel NUC as a "media center" so it has a purpose (it use to host ESXi); unfortunately, the NUC only has 2 outputs for audio: HDMI or a 3.5mm that is one of those headset jacks for both input and output. I would "like" to connect an Amazon Echo Dot through the computer and have its output also be able to play through the computer. I believe I "can" do this as such, but am looking for advice on if there are better solutions or comments before I try going this route. What I think I need to do (and a few questions):

Get a Y cable to split the microphone and audio out.
Connect the Echo Dot into the microphone side of the Y-splitter
Connect either a Sonos Connect, Sonos Connect Amp, or Sonos Play 5 to
Hi, We recently bought a Sonos Sub and set it up connected to our Sonos Playbar. However, shortly after setup the Sub looses the connection to the Playbar. We have a very stable and strong internet connection, so I don't believe the problem is related to unstable Wi-Fi. Further, it is never a problem finding the Sub on the network and re-connecting it. On the Sonos network the Playbar is called 'Stue / Soundbar", and when I open my Sonos settings and go to 'Room settings' ('Rumindstillinger' in Danish), it says "Stue / Soundbar (+Sub)", whenever the sub is connected to the Playbar. But after disconnecting it instead displays "Stue / Soundbar (+?)". I have attached a picture of this. Can anyone explain me why this happens and what I can do to solve it? Thank you very much in advance. Best regards Jesper Kjær Esbjerg, Denmark
After running TruePlay, where is that configuration information stored? In (on?) the speakers or in the app (on the iOS device used to perform the analysis? Two situations I'm curious about: 1. If you get a new iPhone, do you need to re-run TruePlay? 2. If you live in a non-iOS house, can you borrow an iPhone, run TruePlay, give the phone back and then use your Sonos system (while still having benefit of the sound improvements)? I looked and couldn't find a clear answer to this question; apologies if it's been asked/answered.
I have a sonos system with a play 5 speaker (1st generation)., which I have had for three years. I purchased a play 1 speaker yesterday so that I could set up the two speakers to provide stereo sound. When I tried to set them up using the setup link on the website, it said that I could only set up for stereo with two play 1 speakers. I find it hard to believe that stereo is not possible with a play1 and a play 5. A FAQ says that for stereo you must have two of the same speakers of the same generation. I find it hare to believe that people clever enough to produce this great system can't think of a way to match dissimilar speakers in a stereo setup. Can someone please tell me if this can be done and, if not, what I can do short of returning the play 1 and living with the mono sound. I really like the system and feel that there must be some way to match the two different speakers for stereo sound. I assume that 1st generation play 5s are no longer available?
ISP is Frontier DSL. Had been using a NetGear 7550 Modem Router for more than a year with no (Sonos related) issues. Have been having some DSL speed and connection issues generally, and Frontier upgraded me to the D2200D. Which works fine with all of my other devices, excepitng Sonos. As soon as I connect the Sonos bridge via ethernet cable to the D2200D, I lose internet connectivity. For now, I've temporirly gone back to the 7550 and it's working ok. Any suggestions appreciated.
I have a play bar and 2 play3s which I have hooked up to my Samsung TV. Play3s kick in great on music but not so much on spoken word scenarios? This is probably the generic position but can I change it so that the play3s operate all the time? Not a real issue but any thoughts welcome. Many thanks, Ian
We have had the Sonos system and it's played well for about a year. Now all of a sudden when we try to play music it's telling us that it can't recognise the server. We haven't changed anything but we can't play any music. We can still play the radio just not the music. Has anybody else experienced similar problems and how did you fix it?
