I have many Sonos speakers throughout my house and use a playbeam grouped for a radio alarm. Until the last update, it was working perfectly for that alarm (yes, have a include grouped rooms switch set toon for that alarm and all speakers are actually grouped). Since the update to the most recent firmware, the alarm will ungroup the speakers when turning on, making the radio play on the one speaker only.I have unset/set that group function, as well as deleted the alarm and configured again, to no avail. I have a second alarm set on a playbar, also with include grouped rooms switched on, and that continued to work after the update. Anyone else with this issue?
I am playing music from iTunes on my Mac thru 2 Sonos speakers that are wirelessly connected to the same router that my Mac is using. There is nothing in this arrangements coming in off the internet. The router is connect to the internet but not using it for this setup]. Yet, periodically, I'll get a few seconds gap in the sound out of the speakers. There are no error messages. If the music was coming off the internet, I could say it was over demand on the internet but since it is not...Any ideas???
Hi All,I have a bit of issue with the Sonos setup.I have an Opnsense router and unifi controller running on it for Wifi.I have installed 3 One SL , 1 Sub 3gen and a Beam Gen2 Only the Beam Gen2 is wired to an unifi switch this switch is set to RSTP.The Sonos is connected to my home network where I have firewall rule all to all allowI have 2 rooms, kitchen where 1 One SL is locatedAnd TV corner where 2 One SL , 1 Sub and 1 Beam is locatedNow the SUB does not play when added to the tv corner, only when I move it to kitchen is does work.Now I adjusted the following:Auto-optimize network: off IGMP Snooping: on Multicast Enhancement (IGMPv3): on Block LAN to WLAN multicast and broadcast data (Classic UI): off The Port where the Beam is connected to is set to Enable Spannin tree protocol But only wifi is also not working. I have turned the wifi off for the beam btw on wired. Can somebody help me?Is there an limitation?
Hi.I’ve used Sonos Play 5 for many years on two different routers, and there haven’t been any hitches I couldn’t resolve.Now I have a new Zyxel 1661 Wifi 6 router, and for the life of me I can not get the mobile app to find Sonos. I’ve tried everything I can think of. I’ve plugged Sonos to the router for possible updates. I’ve reset the app. I’ve rebooted all the things and followed every instruction, (turn on Bluetooth etc) and still nothing. The NFC can see Sonos, but the app just cannot.I’m no techie, but I think it’s fair to assume that the router hides Sonos from the app(?) even though the phone is integrated with it. Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I’ve had my Roam speaker for a few months and worked fine with no issues. This morning it won’t turn on. I wonder if it needs charging so I plug in using the lead that I got with the speaker and has always worked fine.When plugging in the orange light appears but after 3-4 seconds it turns off. The speaker will not turn on. It’s been plugged in for a few hours now and still nothing.I’ve tried doing the reset (power + play button) and nothing. I always use this lead, same plug, same socket even as I only listen to it in my office at home. Any ideas?
Hi, i recently bought my Sonos stuff and have serious issue with tv remote and Arc soundbar.I programmed my remote without any issues (immidietly) but while sound input “Tv” only volume down is working (no volume up and mute).on Spotify and sonos radio everything works well. can you support?
Here is the setup. Five Sonos One V3 speakers, one Arc Soundbar + Sub WooferThe condition: I start playing music (Pandora) using either the Sonos ios app or using Google Assistant, i.e. “Play Pandora music” If in the Sonos app all devices had been selected before starting the music all is fine and music plays throughout the house. I later stop playing Pandora i.e. “OK Google, stop the music” Later when I turn on the TV (connected to the soundbar via HDMI ARC), all is fine and TV audio plays correctly though the soundbar. The problem is when you turn off the TV, the soundbar will not re-connect to the rest of the speakers in it’s group. You must manually open the Sonos app to reconnect it to the other speakers. The soundbar does have a selectable settings under “Home Theater”. The first setting, “TV Autoplay” does just that. When the TV is turned on the soundbar automatically connects to the TV. Hi, all. I have a Sonos Move. I have trouble playing via the Spotify app. I can generally get it to play via Spotify now, but I have to go through a very awkward process: after I try and fail to play through Spotify once, I have to hold the power button on the speaker for about 10 seconds (speaker won't turn off otherwise after trying to play music from Spotify) then I can use speaker as normal using Spotify. Can you tell me how I can avoid having to do this painful process every time I want to use my speaker? Thanks
I added SirusXM service to my Sonos controller. I can make it play through the speaker if I select it within the Sonos controller, but if i ask Alexa to play it, I get a message that the account has been closed and to talk to Sirus and/or Sonos. I have re-loaded the service multiple times, downloaded the Sirus software App to my PC, changed PW and user names on the Sirus site and then in Sonos, all with no luck. I get the same message. I don’t understand how I can play it through the Sonos speaker when selected within the controller, but can’t access through Alexa/speaker. Suggestions to get this to work?
Hi,In my Bedroom I have two IKEA SYMFONISK Table lamps as stereo pair. One is wired to my network. The other connected via Wireless Sonos Net.I have an alarm setup, to play a Sonos playlist, which mainly has songs from my nas (itunes folder) and a few songs from Apple Music. The alarm is set to play on the bedroom speakers every weekday from 07:00 to 09:00, but also on grouped speakers (as Sonos does not allow me to add alarms to a speaker group, only to a speaker and the speakers that just happen to be grouped at that time, every morning 30 minutes before the alarm, my Home Assistant system groups the speakers in my bedroom, guestroom (Play:3 in stereo pair), bathroom (One SL), and kitchen (play:1 stereo pair). This grouping works flawlessly, so every morning before the alarm plays, the desired speakers are grouped with my bedroom speakers).But..Since recently (hard to pinpoint), sometimes the alarm does not play at all, anywhere. I have a Sonos surround setup with Playbar, Sub Woofer and two surround speakers. For some streaming services (Amazon Prime, TV Channels that broadcast in DD) that say it is broadcasting in Dolby Digital, things work fine and when I check in the Sonos app,it correctly indicates that it is receiving a DD input. However for some streaming services (HBO Max, Apple TV) the app only indicates Stereo PCM even though the service says it is broadcasting in DD. Appreciate any insight as to why things work with some services but not all.
Hey there, A week ago I had to unplug one of the Symfonisk surrounds in my system. Upon plugging it back in, no sound was heard though the other surround continued to function as normal. In the app I had an option to “fix surrounds”, which just told me I had to have two speakers for surround use. I reset the errant speaker and it showed up in the app again, in a new room called “Living Room 2” for some reason. Under the System tab in the app, in the Living Room, it shows (+?+RS) with only the Beam listed. If I open the room, it shows the Beam and the Symfonisk (Right) but no left, along with an option to Set up Surrounds. Choosing this option, it tells me that BOTH surrounds are in other rooms and offers to move them to Living Room. OK, did that, then it plays the noise through the Right surround and I tap on it and it tells me it’s adding surrounds and it may take a moment. Five minutes later I get the error, “There was a problem adding surrounds” and tells me to try again. I tried re

I bought a symfonisk bookshelf speaker to use mainly as an alarm system, streaming music from a windows 10 pc shared folder over LAN.However on some occasions, the alarm doesn’t play, in spite of the playlist loading into the system. It just shows as paused on 0:00 on the first track. There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to why this happens, for example this morning it happened for the first alarm, but the backup Chime alarm worked fine.The system is currently wired via powerline ethernet, but I’ve had this same issue on wifi as well. I can’t see any obvious pattern to when this is happening either, either in the timings or the specific music that refuses to play.
Some time over the last couple of days my Sonos Five stopped appearing in the list of available airplay devices. I running the latest iOS 14.3 and my Sonos app is up to date. I can still launch the app and play music through it, but am unable to see the Five as an available airplay device when using, for instance, BBC Sounds or Spotify. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
I am having with S2 and an iPhone 12 pro with iOS 14.3. The issue I am having is that when I leave S2 open the notification sound for text messages and when I close the phone are extremely low, barely audible. The is no issue with the notification sound for the phone. When I close S2 (remove from memory) the sounds for text messages and when I close the phone are normal.
I have purchased over 11 speakers so I’m a bit concerned that I can’t find a quick answer. My Play 5 starting making a static news while on or off? I disconnected...Moved to a different room...reconnected and it’s the same issue. While off the static news is low...while playing the static news is more pronounced. Can this be repaired?
So many questions, so few answers: I have 2 Play 1s and two Play 5s. The latest software update has left the S1 software unable to see the Play 1s and the S2 software unable to see the Play 5s and me unable to rewind to the state I was in before The S1 software cannot ‘see’ my computer and so I cannot connect with my computer based music library The S1 software can no longer see’ my YouTube Music library I have just about had it with Sonos. I am ready to trash the lot. I need HELP. I have many opinions but . I need HELP from Sonos. A human being. A voice. Someone who is going to fix the mess that they have created. I have 3 off Play 1 speakers and 2off Play 3 speakers, the Play 3 are linked as a pair, they are in the same room as my router.Why do the play 3 speakers drop out? very frustrating!!The play one’s, are all in different rooms and work perfectly.Trying to contact SONOS is a proper pain!ARE THEY INTERESTED? Hi folks, I have a 3 and a 5 at my home. I control both using the app on my Mac and on my iphone. After a power cut, the 5 dissapears from my iphone and cannot be reconnected (or re-installed) by the iphone. I have to go to the MAc, play something on the 5 and it re-appears on my phone.This is a real pain, as are Sonos updates that always seem to leave something not quite working.CAn anyone make any suggestions other than re-installing all the time ? I have reinstalled Sonos more times than I have had a coffee (which I need every time)
