Zoja, o
I installed my Sonos system in 2005. Always been great. the system is: 4 zp100s 1 zp80--wired to the router 1 Connect Today, I installed a Harmony Hub and want to take full advantage of it with my Sonos. The Listen to Sonos activity I have been us9ng on a Harmony One turns on the amplifier for the zp80, but then I have to select that room with a controller (i devices here) and decide what to play, etc. From the Harmony documentation it appears that I should be able to more fully control the Sonos if I have a more recent player. What player do I need? I would prefer to simply swap out the zp80 for the new player. Christmas is fast approaching and I need to tell my wife what I want real soon. Anyone? Thanks. Bill Today, I have installed a Harmony Hub.
I have a unique setting of sonos due to location of house I have my wifi set and supplied by my ipad's network chip. Hughes have had to take my playbar, subwoofer and 2 play ones back to shop to upgrade following recent software update. I now have no sound from my panasonic vierra and checked the menu options to see where it could be reset and actually reset it but still no sound. Any ideas?
I have authorised sonos to accept spotify, but when I play a song on spotify, it will connect instantly to ipad, phone, pc, but living room connect which is the sonos, just hangs on connecting. Bridge is connected by Ethernet to router the wireless to play 1 When I open the sonos app on ipad, spotify is there and I can play music that way, but not the other way around.
ISP is Frontier DSL. Had been using a NetGear 7550 Modem Router for more than a year with no (Sonos related) issues. Have been having some DSL speed and connection issues generally, and Frontier upgraded me to the D2200D. Which works fine with all of my other devices, excepitng Sonos. As soon as I connect the Sonos bridge via ethernet cable to the D2200D, I lose internet connectivity. For now, I've temporirly gone back to the 7550 and it's working ok. Any suggestions appreciated.
Right now I usually use headphones to output audio since I'm in an apartment, but I am looking at getting some decent wireless speakers for times of the day that won't drive my neighbors nuts. What I'm trying to do: Ideally I would like to connect use my Intel NUC as a "media center" so it has a purpose (it use to host ESXi); unfortunately, the NUC only has 2 outputs for audio: HDMI or a 3.5mm that is one of those headset jacks for both input and output. I would "like" to connect an Amazon Echo Dot through the computer and have its output also be able to play through the computer. I believe I "can" do this as such, but am looking for advice on if there are better solutions or comments before I try going this route. What I think I need to do (and a few questions):

Get a Y cable to split the microphone and audio out.
Connect the Echo Dot into the microphone side of the Y-splitter
Connect either a Sonos Connect, Sonos Connect Amp, or Sonos Play 5 to
I have a play 5 gen 1. I am having problems connecting. I set up the system ok. Play music via spotify for 5 mins. Then I get message saying connection lost. The app then says "system not found". I've tried rebooting the play 5. Router. Reinstalled the app. Connect directly to router via eathernet cable. No joy. Any suggestions.
Napster has stopped working on my Sonos system since the 7.0.1 update. The Napster app on my PC and tablet works fine. In Sonos error log the following messages are logged: Thursday, 15 December 2016 - 20:53 Greenwich Mean Time : Dublin, London Unable to play '' - unable to connect to Napster.
Hi There, I have a 65" Shark Aquos #LC65E77UM and my playbar connected to this via the Fiber Cable. When I watch TV I don't use cable I only use a Mac with a Plex server playing downloaded video. If I use my iPad and the Sonos Controller it lets me define the volume up and down and mute button from my TV remote and it works great. After I turn off the TV for the night and come back to watch TV next time the remote is no longer define. I can I make this stick permanently? Regards, RURocking
Please help us that need to use our iPhone to set up our Music Library in Sonos. • Change the hint you use when we add a new source of our music to forward slashes / instead of backslashes \ • Allow our current address for source to be edited, not just deleted...most times just a minor correction is necessary • Give some feedback when our entered strings are in correct...usually it is just an added space or a typo • Please rework the code so we can enter data in landscape mode where the keyboard is considerably larger than in portrait mode • And finally...Updates are nice, but why make them mandatory? Most often I cannot "Play My Music" until I succumb to your demands that I download and install your update.
Is it possible to add the function next title by pressing two time play/pause for radio stations ???
Hello, when playing a playlist i can go to next track by pressing 2×play/pause and last track by 3×. It will be great if you can add this feature on radio playing for switching the stations in my radio stations list on sonos. Kind regards from germany
I have the iPhone (iOS 10) Deezer app which can play music via Airplay or bluetooth or line out. Plus I have the Sonos Deezer app which plays only on my Sonos Play:1. I want to play the same song with both apps simultaneously so I can use my Play:1 together with my excellent Logitech Boombox for Ipad bluetooth speaker. So I need an electronic "button" (an app) which I can press on my iPhone to start a song simultaneously in both apps, allowing for any time lag. Maybe the iPhone microphone can be used to help with the syncing by listening to the music from both speakers and delaying any which is out of sync. Has anyone developed this? Is this a good idea? Let me know if you want to use my idea (invention).
Hi I have problems using sonos with spotify after the last update of the sonos app/fw. When I start a playlist through spotify, I can usually play the first track, but afterwards it says that it has lost connection to spotify. If I wait a few minutes it works again. I have tried rebooting my computer, router, all my sonos gear and reinstalled the spotify service in the sonos app. I can also not play music through the spotify app, even though it is there as an option. It just says "connecting".
I have searched the web and forums to see if others had a similar problem as me - this is basically my situation: Just bought the latest Samsung UE75KS8000 TV, it has optical output and allows DTS Neo 2:5 and PCM - other options don't show (but looks like also also other formats may be possible, but they are "not active" as it looks, maybe because I have setup as optical output). HDMI Audio set as: PCM Audio format: PCM Output from TV: Optical Problem: I simply cannot get any sound from the TV to the playbar - playbar does work with streaming from Spotify and apps and also remove is linked to Playbar. Everytime I push the volume button on the remove it shows the an icon of optical output setup. I called Sonos support, as thought this would be a quick fix, but after a little while realized that this was something that would be a bit more challenging and arranged I will call back. Meanwhile I also went to the shop where I bought it, who also have Sonos products and was told
After connecting my two new Play3s to the Playbar as surround speakers, the Play3 speaker volume was very low, even after maxing out the TV Volume slide bar under the Surround option button. The only way I found to increase the volume was by using the volume buttons on the speakers themselves. I have not seen that method mentioned anywhere in any other discussion related to surround speaker volume. Is that an acceptable/expected method to fix my low volume issue?
Hi there...I've been using for a while the Spotify app to stream music to my sonos speakers and is all working excellent but when you have grouped speaker and you want to turn up or down the volume from the Spotify app seems to work only with one of the grouped speakers so you have to still go to the sonos app to fix it. Anyone else with this issue?.
