Since the update my phone battery has been dying much faster than usual. When I check my usage Sonos is now always in the top three. Today it's tops at 19%. That makes no sense. I use it briefly once or twice in the evenings while I use mail, phone, messages, Things, Evernote heavily all day. So I will be killing he app when I'm not using it, then open it when I need to adjust the volume or change a song. Which is silly.
My 15 month old play 5 2nd gen just died! No lights, no power and gone from my set up. Sonos have been very good and a replacement (refurb) is being sent but my confidence in the product is now pretty low. Dont get me wrong, I love my play 1s and play 5 but to just stop working the way it has does not fill me with confidence to purchase more!
I have a Play:3, Play:5 and connect (not sure if it's an amp). The controller on my iPhone 7 works fine and recognizes the system. However it does not recognize my iTunes playlists (hasn't updated them either). My iMac is not recognizing my system at all. I've been waiting to speak with someone from Sonos...maybe I'll get an answer more quickly this way...
I have had quite a large Sonos system for a number of years, I used to have some drop-outs which turned out to be caused by a new, large, American refrigerator shielding one of the amps - moved the fridge and the problem went away. Now I have a new drop out problem - I recently installed a BT8600 Call blocker telephone system. One instrument is in the bedroom where there is a "CONNECT:AMP: Master Bedroom, Version: 7.1 (build 341637101), Hardware Version: 22.214.171.124-2, IP Address: 192.168.1.75, WM: 0, OTP: 1.1.1(1-16-3-0.9)." When the phone is used (incoming or outgoing) the Sonos Connect appears to drop-out if it is tuned to BBC Radios 1 through 4 (but not BBC Radio Oxford). On close inspection the logo screen (i.e Radio 4) is still there but the sound has gone away. It is usually, but not always, possible to re-tune to, for instance, Classic FM, or wait for about 30 minutes for Radio 4 to start-up on its own. This would be quite a good feature - turn the radio off if the 'phon
I had some challenges setting up my Sonos ZPs using a Zyxel 1920 managed switch. My Sonos ZPs and wireless access points are on the same VLAN. After reading the following posts, I realized I needed to configure the Zyxel to pass the requisite Spanning Tree traffic: https://en.community.sonos.com/troubleshooting-228999/working-stp-settings-of-large-cabled-sonos-installation-30413 https://en.community.sonos.com/troubleshooting-228999/sonos-and-the-spanning-tree-protocol-16973 When you log into the Zyxel "Web Configurator", click on the "Advanced Application", and then the "Spanning Tree Protocol" submenu that appears on the left hand side. In the right-hand frame, the spanning tree information will appear. Initially, all the table describing the connected switch devices was blank. First, I clicked on the STP "Configuration" (upper right above STP status table) to figure out which protocol was being used. My version of the 1920 supports: 1) Rapid Spanning Tree 2) Mult
When listening to Slacker Radio through the Sonos app, it seems that my music preferences (favorite songs, banned songs, banned artists) that I make through the Sonos app are not being saved to my Slacker Radio profile. When I listen to Slacker Radio outside of Sonos (directly through the Slacker app - through my phone's speaker, different speakers, computer), the songs/artists that I marked as favorites or banned through the Sonos app appear again without the ratings.
Just called sonos helpline and it is possible that if enough people request support for Absolute Radio App that allows Ad Free music for all their stations and as so many people like it suggest you also ring in or write in requesting that this might get the App added, worth a try
I have an ongoing issue with out Sonos system combined with AppleTV. Our AppleTV is Gen4. I know at one point I read about this being an unsolved firmware issue(?) but cannot find any articles on that searching now. Setup: AppleTV Gen4 Time Capsule Connect Sharp LC-32SB24U Soundbar 2x Play3 AppleTV Gen4 on wifi (Airport Time Capsule) connect to a Sharp LC-32SB24U by HDMI on input 4. The tv is connected by digital audio output to the soundbar. We have a DVD player (Sony BXP-BX320) connect by HDMI on input 5 and over the air TV connected by coax too. Neither of these inputs have this issue and are both able to play back through the entire Sonos system without problem. When we use AppleTV as the source for our TV, regardless of source app (so happens with apple movies, netflix, HBO app, comedy central app, etc), after approximately 20 minutes the audio first gets scratchy for a few seconds, and then becomes progressively more distorted until it is basically unintel
I want to shuffle all the 5,000 songs in my library. The queue seems to be limited to 500 songs, so I keep getting the same 10% (alphabetically) of my songs and can never access the other 90% by this route. I know I can sort songs by track number instead but this still restricts the number of songs to 500. Any way around this?
Hi So, since I live in a building with students with a public wifi, and everyone has to login via a splash page, it was not possible to connect from my Sonos Play1 with the internet. I was told to use a travel router, but now I'm kinda stuck. I bought a TP-link. I have no wired internet access, everything is wireless. Now I want to create an access point with this travel router, so that I can connect with the Play1 to this access point. Anyone who can give me more info how I should do this? At the moment I've come to the point where I can connect on my phone (just to test) with the travel router, but once I'm connected the internet doesn't seem to work. Many thanks. Matthias
I know this has been asked many times already, but I'm bumping the topic. I'm a huge Sonos fan, and our family loves the fairly extensive Sonos setup we currently have. We even hired a pro installer to incorporate some pre-existing, wired outdoor speakers into the system. But I'm hear to tell you that that if Sonos offered outdoor speakers, it would be a must-have, instant-buy for me (and many Sonos customers). Please tell me this in development already.
Since the arrival of my Playbase, my sky remote control no longer works. Actually it works fine for turning the volume up on the tv (playing through the playbase and a play 3) but you cannot use it to change channels etc. There is a solution with having a sky remote app on my phone but it seems a little pointless? Can anyone offer any advice?
Recently, my app has stopped recognizing my system. When I open the app, it now says "You need to add at least one Sonos player to get the music started," and prompts me to add a player. I've tried to reset and try to connect to the existing system - no luck. I've also tried resetting my router. Both the app and my phone are up-to-date. Any ideas?
