Hi all ok we’ve had this problem with our play 5 for a long time now (only speaker on on S1) the rest of the system is S2, anyways the play 5 randomly disconnects and stops the music for up to 30 seconds or so then carry’s on playing, it doesn’t disconnect as such but mutes the music but when it plays again it’s actually sounds like it’s been playing for that time period it was off (so as if the music is playing someones turned the volume down for a few seconds then turned it back up) we recently changed out WiFi router to a MeSH one and was hoping this would sort it out (like other issues) but it’s still the same. Could this be a network issue? All the speakers on the S2 app never seem to do this cheers
I have 3 connect:amp running at the moment and one amp shuts down after plugging it in after about 5 seconds. No amber light, it just goes white when plugged in and then turns off. The outlet is powered and stable. Previously the amp worked fine for years so I don’t think it is a short in the speaker system, as nothing has changed. one day it was turned off and now it won’t turn on. I don’t know the specifics of the speakers - my landlord has them installed and they are built into the wall. Any suggestions?
Sorry, I am sure this has been asked before - but I can’t find an answer. Problem: I have six x MP3 files that I would like to attach to my Apple Music as a playlist. These are jingles so only small files. How do I install these files in Apple Music, so I can play in Sonos? Or do I install directly into Sonos? Grateful for easy guidance please? Thanks
I had to reboot my internet router and now my Arc is having issues. I always have problems with this thing and no other devices. So, I have a room set up with the Arc, subwoofer and two rears. I have rebooted the arc… reset it and still have this problem. It was a pain to re-connect the rears and it took several attempts. I set up the system and the arc comes and goes. It’s there sometimes, then disappears and the other devices are in the room but the arc is missing (shows the question mark). It’s not my internet. I have no issues with any Sonos devices in my house. I have two other speakers in another room. The arc is literally 2 feet away from one of mesh points. Has anyone encountered this? It’s totally frustrating. System worked great until I had to reboot my router.
Hi - I play music through my SONOS system via a PLEX media server that sits on a Synology NAS. I have a SONOS PORT, a PLAYBAR, a PLAY3, and a BOOST. The BOOST is connected directly to my router via an ethernet cable. My problem is that Sonos is constantly disconnecting from PLEX which results in the music dropping out or songs on playlists being skipped over entirely . Even though I already have the BOOST connected directly to my router , if I were to also connect the PORT directly to my router would that eliminate these drop outs? Thanks for any help!
While the Sonos 5 device does show up as an available device, I always get the message “Could not connect to [Sonos Device Name]” when I attempt to use AirPlay to stream audio from my iMac (both via System Preferences and the Music app). Strangely, my iPad and iPhone do not seem to have the problem when connected on the same WiFi network.I run Monterey (latest version) on my iMac and, yes, already did the following:reset the Sonos speaker rebooted the router (TP-Link AX6000) restarted the computer (multiple times)I want to add additional Sonos speakers, but this is a little bit a showstopper. Thanks in advance for any help.
I own two Sonos One speakers, one Sonos Move, and one Sonos Playbar. My diagnostic reference number is 1323800420. Our whole system will play for hours on end at times and then just start not working. We’ve reconnected it to the internet multiple times and ensured they’re all on the same network. It got better for a while but has started doing it again recently.
Hi, I am having trouble getting my surround and sub connected to my playbar. The setup consists of a playbar, two play ones, and sub. I can setup up all the devices individually and even connect the sub and two play ones in stereo together. But when I try to connect them to the playbar it goes through the whole process and eventually fails at the end. There is a question mark next to the playbar where sub should be. Diagnostic report: 376772923I have already reset and restarted everything. Went though a interference diagnosis. Connected the playbar directly to Ethernet. Etc. Any help most appreciated.
Hi,I’ve 2 Sonos One (one SL), one in my kitchen and the other one in my bedroom. I also have a Playbar in my living room. I have a WiFi repeaters in the middle of my appartement in order to have wifi all around the place. My problem is that the Sonos One in my kitchen is not working while used as is own. It only works when paired with another sonos device. How can I fix that ? Thanks for your time !
Hello Just received the sonos arc. I am replacing a samsung curve ms6500 sound bar from 2016. My problem is the sonos sounds like utter garbage even compared to my ancient samsung. Theres no bass, depth, or i dunno how to explain it. It sounds tinny or metallic, empty. Does anyone know whats going on and how this supposedly unreal sound bar that cost me over 900 sounds like garbage? The only thing im hoping is its my old samsung 55un8500 tv and crappy arc one connect box or something but im not hopeful. Im 2 seconds away from returning this thing but i want it to work. I did go buy another tv , 2021lg oled c series and its coming in Tuesday so Im going to wait and see how it performs on a new tv vs a 7 year old one. Tv isnt because of sonos arc, more of an excuse. I wanted it lol. I dont have iphone and certainly not buying one as they are just as much money and lets be honest that shouldnt be a fix. Theres no true play android i assume? Thoughts or comments?
I have an older Connect Amp. It’s working fine. It used to be when I turned the volume all the way down, it would display a solid green light. Now, when I turn the volume all the way down I get a solid red light. Not orange. Red. Otherwise working fine. What does this mean? Thank you.
When trying to select my playlists on the LivePhish app on Sonos, it says unable to browse music. This is happening on just the playlists as all other parts of the app are working fine. And also when I go to the actual LivePhish app, the playlists work fine there. Any help?
I have 10 play ones, two subs and one Arc in my Sonos system. Just like everyone else, I’ve experienced constant speaker drop out. At the behest of Sonos I purchased a Boost. Problem not solved. After reading numerous comments, i thought adding a second wired Boost to my network would finally fix my problem. Totally made the problem worse. In spite of what Sonos says, Boosts DO NOT WORK. Total waste of money. After moving it all over my house to “find the best spot” i have removed both Boosts from my Sonos set-up. Now with my only my router managing my Sonos speakers, I get significantly REDUCED speaker drop out. I have two used Boosts available for anyone that wants to waste their time
Hi folks, I am trying (and failing) to get my system to recognize my Sonos Boost. The Boost is not a new device. It has been used by this network before. I have been running my Sonos system on my regular Wi-Fi router network, but I want to go back to using my Boost. My system:Four Sonos OnesSonos BeamSonos SubSonos Boost My wireless router is an Arris. It has two distinct bands, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. Which Sonos devices do you already have? Four Sonos Ones, a Beam, Sub and Boost Is one of them cabled to your router? Not when I am running in standard mode, but yes (Boost only) when the Boost is providing the network. What is the make and model of your router? Arris TG1682 Do you use any WiFi Extenders? No (unless you count the Boost as one) Which controller device are you trying to do this from (where is the app installed)? On my iPhone. I use the original Sonos app.Error message: Not connected (See screenshot)Steps taken:Tried to add Boost via S1 app; followed all instructions Checked t
My soundbar optical cable is making the sound glitch when watching films on Netflix ,amazon, ect YouTube and TV the sound is fine. They used to work fine together. I have swapped the cables to a new optical line and it still does it. If I change settings to TV sound it works fine but there is lots of delay between TV and soundbar. Please can any reply be put into simple english. I'm not computer savvy. Cheers all.
I have two devices, directly connected to the router with a cable. One of the devices drops at random, stops playing, and then after a while returns on its on. Sometimes while this happens the speakers make a loud clicking sound. I captured a diagnosis after this happened once:452604873. Thanks.
Diagnostics: 780386798Like seemingly many others, I have a problem playing back music from Spotify. Every once in a while I get the error “The connection to Spotify was lost”, and then the song skips, tries to play the next in the playlist, and usually fails that as well.My setup is as follows:I have 3x Symfonisk speakers in an apartment of around 100sqm All three speakers use wifi. None are connected by ethernet cable Every other device in the house works flawlessly on our wifi. I can download at rates of several hundred MB/s anywhere in my home. Our Chromecast never exhibits the least hiccups. I’ve verified that there is no packet loss and very low latency, and no routing problems, no duplicate IP addresses on the network or anything else, and the wifi signal strength is excellent. I even upgraded our wifi router (which was doing a fine job for everything else) to a three-node wifi mesh solely because Sonos seems to use exceptionally poor wifi antennae, or for whatever other reason s
