System 2 x Play 1. Sonos app on PC. Media on QNAP NAS. PC & NAS hardwired to Router.Trying to add Music files to library. Building from scratch. Adding folders serially. Once the total number of files becomes large the addition takes a very long time until it reaches the point were the system just spins indefinitely. Had about 30000 songs added and cannot add anymore.Eventually system seems to time out with Music Files Not Available error. ‘Source’ is no longer available … yet I know the system is live. So frustrating. Tried. I know that this is a large library but in the past just used to get the library is too large error.
I have a One, Play:3, and a Beam. The Beam is wired directly to my TV and is great. No issues. The One and Play:3 stream through WiFi and constantly give me problems.Songs played through Amazon Music or books streamed through Audible pause, skip, or stop frequently. Audible books through the One are unlistenable because it will pause, then skip entire chapters. The app tells me that my internet connection is unstable, but I can literally put an Amazon Echo Dot 2nd Gen in the same place as the One or Play:3 and it streams through my WiFi with no issues. Has anyone else had an issue like this?
I bought the pro-ject turntable with the pre-amp that was recommended by Sonos to connect to a sonos 5. I was getting a loud low hum coming through the speakers and I couldn’t find a way to ground the turntable to the speaker. I tried buying an upgraded rca cable that didn’t have the grounding wire, the sound quality improved a little but it still has a very heavy low hum. Is there a way that I can ground the other end of the wire to the line in on the sonos 5?

I would be using the Beam (Gen 2) for Apple TV 4K 2021, PS5, Xbox Series X & Switch. Appreciate any help with these questions:On the LG C1, aside from enabling eARC Support, should Digital Sound Output be set to: PCM, Auto or Pass Through? should HDMI Input Audio Format be set to: Bitstream or PCM?On the PS5, should HDMI Device Type be set to: TV, AV Amplifier or Sound Bar? should Audio Format (Priority) be set to: Linear PCM, Dolby or DTS?On the Xbox Series X,should HDMI Audio be set to 7.1 uncompressed or Dolby Atmos for home theater? should Allow passthrough be enabled under additional options?--Lastly, I read there was an issue with the LG CX where the following would happen. On the LG CX, when the Digital Sound Output is set to,Pass Through → incorrect 7.1 ch signal (causing missing channels) Auto → correct 5.1 ch signalDoes this issue persist and does it also affect the LG C1 or only the LG CX?Thanks for your help!

I renamed the computer and Sonos would say it couldn’t find the old computer name. It wasn’t recognising or seeing the new name. I reinstalled etc. Then realised that there were a few issues. Firstly there were different queues for different speaker systems, these had been populated prior to the name change. I ungrouped the system and cleared each queue. Additionally, the queue that was in the main play area had been populated prior to the computer name change. I cleared all queues, updated the music library and voila!
I’ve had my Sonos 5 for 4 years now - this morning my desktop app (Mac 10.14.6), which is running on the same computer as my library, suddenly couldn’t find my music library and whenever I try adding it back, it just says ‘sonos was unable to add music folder’ any ideas?
TuneIn will not connect to certain stations at certain times although I can connect to others stations without problems. In this case, these are the stations of Radio-Canada called ICI Musique and ICI Première. I listened to one of them (ICI Musique Montréal) around 12:00 today without problems. When I tried to resume listening 2 hours later, the “Tune In” jingle keeps repeating forever. I tried other ICI Musique stations directly from the TuneIn list but they all do the same. I get this problems regularly (every 2-3 days) and it has been like this for several months but it seems worse to the moment. If I listen to other stations or the music library for a while and come back, it might work again. I hope someone know how to fix this.
I have been a loyal Sonos customer from the get go but I just can’t understand why they haven’t addressed the loud popping issue in the beam and arc products when customers are choosing Dolby Atmos output. Looking at these forum posts, its across multiple sources (appleTV, Xbox, etc) and across multiple TV types. Why doesn’t Sonos say something about this? Tell us you are working on it. Something. As of now, I am considering trashing my Sonos set up in favor of Bluesound. I just can’t stay with a company/brand that leaves their customers in the dark on a crappy issue.
I bought a Sonos play 5 several years ago. A year later I bought a Sonos Play 3. Then a Sonos Play 1. The bridge I initially bought was damaged, which is why I bought a Sonos 1 about 2 years ago that I use in another room and it served as a bridge. Even though this is version s2, everything worked perfectly even though the Sonos play 5 is not compatible, using the Sonos s1 app. the problems started 2 weeks ago when i decided to buy the sonos roam. I had to remove the Sonos 5 from the s1 app to get it to work. Now the Sonos play 5 is unusable. I can't reinstall it on the Sonos s1 app. but besides that now this app doesn't work and it sends me to app s2, so play 1, play 3 and Sonos 1 don't work either, and they are not detected in app s2. So now I only have the Sonos roam and 4 speakers that don't work. In addition to the above, for several years Sonos has allowed the use of a voice assistant but in Colombia it is not possible, although it is not a problem with Alexa (have an ec
When streaming music playing through Sonos randomly it plays a very loud static noise. It does this randomly about every 5 minutes or so. Static only last a second. It over takes the music and comes through all my sonos speakers. I have a playbar, sub, and two play 3’s grouped in the same room, and a play 1 group in another room. I have the playbar connected by Ethernet cable to the modem. Every other speaker is on WiFi. They have good connection with the router as they’re no more then 20’ on the same floor from router.Anyone know the cause of this and how to fix it?
Sonos only plays one sing when using playlist, songs, albums stored in computer even though and album is chosen as well as shuffle. This is relatively new event in a six year old system. Software is up to date. The first sone of the album stops at the end with the triangle play button showing up again for the same song, not the next one in the album. WiFi is with ten feet, up to date, working fine on other uses including streaming for TV (TV is off when using SONOS). What am I missing or not doing? It has worked well in the past...same equipment, nothing new. Thanks
So Sonos crew, i wonder if you can help?First problem, I have 2 sonos one that i have made a stereo pair, the problem i have is that if i talk to my right speaker, and ask it to play music via spotify, Alexa advises that the device is off line. If i give the request to left speaker, the instruction is followed out, but sometimes with a problem. That problem is that even though Alexa says she has understood what i have said, no music plays. However if i say “Alexa, Pause” and then “Alexa Resume” i then get the music.Any one have any ideas? Cheers Neil
Hi, i managed to fix the defective power supply so that the voltage can be measured. I have 230v ac and 220v dc on the bridge rectifier, 100v on the large capacitor, but unfortunately no voltage is passed on to the output.Has anyone an idea of the reasons why?
I recently helped a friend setup a Roam, 2 Sonos One’s and a Move. When we group and want to change the volume for an individual speaker it changes the volume for two of the 4 speakers. For example when I change the volume for the Roam the volume changes for the Roam as well as one of the One speakers. There are no pairs setup. Only happens when in a group. Please note I am aware of group volume and can individually change the volume for each room separately but when I do two rooms volume changes.
I’m having the Arc, sub and 2 sonos surround speakers installed to go with a new LG OLED C1 model. I’ve read many reports of audio dropouts with this setup and older models TVs. Has this problem been resolved? Thanks
I’ve been reading about how interference or loss of wireless connection can kick a playlist off the alarm, reverting to Chime which brings up a few questions as this keeps happening to my system. Questions: Is there anyway to set it so when the playlist is stopped it doesn’t play anything? That Chime is SO annoying. My system is wired so why would it stop playing? I don’t get any notification on Sonos that this has happened so I don’t know how to run a diagnostic. Is there anyway to remote in to resume play? If I’m not on-site, I have to drive over to resume play which is also annoying. Thanks!Mateo
