Arc not sending signal to the Sub and Surrounds (One SL's) but everything shows connected in the app
Hi There -I’ve been using the Arc, Sub and One SL’s as surrounds successfully for 2 years without issue and recently I noticed there was no bass coming from the sub and nothing coming from the surrounds even though everything was still connected in the app (Sub+RS+LS). If I pull the power to reset the Arc and everything seems to wake up and come back, but then it’ll randomly drop out while watching something or be out when I turn on the tv next time. Everything is all in the same room and the router is near by, but hardwiring the arc would be a bit of a hassle so I wondering if adding the boost may solve the issue. Thanks!I’m using and Apple TV+ and Sony X900h.
I have an m4a that won’t play, even though it seems to adhere to Sonos’ supported file formats. Here is some more information about the file:Codec: AAC LCSample rate: 32 kHzThe error message I am getting is: “The song is not encoded correctly”. It plays without any issues on other devices. Why doesn’t it work on Sonos?
I have Samsung QN85A and Arc SL with sub and a pair of One SL speakers as rears. my problem is exactly the same as the one listed here it happens with my Apple TV and with the TV built in apps. I have latest firmware installed on all of my components. Any ideas?Like the author of the post I linked exiting out of the problematic app and moving around the Apple TV Home Screen until the UI makes a sound fixes it. I’ve had audio drop out even when going from one episode to the next in Hulu, HBO max, etc. I’ve only seen this behavior since purchasing this TV. Everything worked fine on my old 2018 LG.
I am on Windows 10. I have an Asus AC5300 Router. I have an external HD that I have connected to the USB port of the Router. Sono’s states file are no longer available, The device where the music files are stored may not be powered on (it is), the path may have changed (it didn’t). It’s accepts iTunes with no issues. Any one seen this issues?
HelloHave anyone else experienced a Sonos One defective speaker? I ordered 3 Sonos One back in 2021 for my restaurant, they are easy to install, audio is amazing but all 3 of them had the speaker replaced because it started to sound bad, popping, the internal soft speaker part fails and we don’t event turn the volume up to 60% all the timeI replaced the speakers with 3rd party parts from Aliexpress cause Sonos don’t sell the replacement speaker / wooferI guess it was a bad batch but now I am thinking of buying one again , it’s a shame
Hi everyone I've had endless issues with my 3 Sonos One's and 1 x One SL that I have set up in my gym studio. They keep dropping out and unsyncing. I've tried improving the WiFi, reconnecting them all multiple times, installing the Sonos Boost and reconnecting them all to that. I am STILL having issues with one of the speakers inexplicably playing different music to the other 3. Coincidentally it happens to the the SL which is the odd one out although I don't think this is a contributing factor. I cannot explain it and don't understand how or why it randomly starts playing different music. We use one single phone to operate the system and play music from the Sonos app. How or why is this happening and what can I do to stop it???
I have 3x Sonos Ones and a Sonos Move all with Alexa enabled. We have had the Sonos Ones enabled with Alexa for the better part of 3 years. All of a sudden Spotify will no longer work via Alexa. I have disabled/enabled the Spotify skill in Alexa, removed the Spotify service from Sonos app, and removed Alexa from the Sonos Ones...all with no luck in being able to say “Alexa, play Spotify.” I can use the Spotify and Sonos app to stream Spotify without issue. It seems like this is an Alexa issue or a specific Alexa issue on the Sonos Ones. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
I have recently got an Audio Technica blue tooth turntable that comes with a pre amp. I connect it to a Roam with a view to playing through my other Sonos products. this works to all rooms except the main one I want it to work on.The “living room” set up is an Arc, a sub, a one and a one sl. playback starts ok but will frequently be jumpy and then stop all together. the rear speakers will also disconnect and on occasion the “living room” disappears from the Sonos app completely. any thoughts on how I could fix this or is the arc surround set up just not capable of playing the output from the turntable?
Hi,I am encountering many problems since the last update 14.6. I use the Spotify service (Android + IOS) with the Sonos S2 app and since the 14.6 update the music cuts itself after a while. I also have trouble listening to music in several rooms and my Sonos ONE SL speakers disconnect themselves. I have to reboot them to reconnect them again. Do some of you have these kinds of problems? I hope that the next update will correct these concerns that are extremely disabling in the use of my SONOS system.
My sub will regularly go out of sync with my arc - especially when skipping through songs on spotify. Sometimes the sub will stop playing for a few seconds and then come back online but out of sync. I have my arc connected to my router via ethernet. I have my WiFi router and SonosNet on different Wi-Fi channels. The arc is maybe 10 feet away from the sub. I’ve never had an issue with my ones either that are 20 feet away. It’s just the sub that seems to be the issue. I submitted a diagnostic report: 475378171.
No changes at all on my end, but last week while listening to our regular local radio station (KBCS 91.3) via TuneIn, my Sonos system will suddenly play the BBC instead of the radio station feed.Right in the middle of the music it will just switch over. 😖KBCS is a local station that plays mostly music. I don’t even have the BBC on my list of stations. The station’s live stream is just fine. If I listen to the station via TuneIn on my phone it’s fine. But on my Sonos it suddenly plays the BBC. it doesn’t do this to any other radio station I listen to. I removed The Station from my presets. I restarted my router. Still doing it. Very depressing as we listen to this station for many hours a week and can’t get the signal clearly on the radio tuner. Thanks
Same as : Only happens on my 3 Sonos devices, and happens on all 3, Google devices work fine.“Hey google, set an alarm for 7am”“Ok, alarm set for 7am”“Hey google, cancel my alarm”“Ok, your alarm for 5am has been cancelled” “Hey google, what time is it?...responds with correct timeAlarm also goes off at desired time.
Hi I brought recently a new Roam and had it set up in our house. it worked perfectly. Then I took it to our summerhouse to install it on the existing network there. This network already have a Sonos Play 5 installed.I followed the Sonos advise and had the Roam reset back to factory setting. Sonos Roam flashing green now and ready to install.Procedure:Sonos app is somehow able to identify the Roam and the Sonos app(Sonos2) suggest the steps which are followed; In the app it says “Add Sonos Roam”. I click Activate Lets add the Roam to your system. I click Continue App says: Making Sonos Roam ready. App work in progress... Error appear: We could not find any Sonos products on your mobile network, so we cannot configure Sonos Roam. Try again.I tried many times with same result. My Play 5 plays perfectly on the existing network. I have tried to restart my router as well.CheersDennis

Hello All, I have done some research on this issue, without a definitive solution that I can find. I have two Sonos One (Gen 1) and one Sonos 5 (Gen 1) and I have been relatively happy with these for years (minus the 5 that drops from my list of devices often and I have to “discover” it again, but different issue). This week I was given a Sonos Roam and immediately my frustration went through the roof. I am a fairly technical individual so I figured I would get the New Sonos app and use the original app to control the speakers that can’t upgrade (that still works, no problem) and use the new app to control only the Roam. However, the new app insists on finding the Gen 1 devices every time, and then locks the program with the screen that states these products are not compatible with the New App and open the Gen 1 app. This happens every single time. Why can the new app not just ignore the old equipment and run the new ROAM all on it’s own, without discovering the old equipment. No matte
Long story (sorry) I have had a Play:3 for many years… love the product. It used to be connected wireless to my old router (let’s call it “A”)I then switched internet provider and got a new router (let’s call it “B”)Router A is no longer connected to the internet, but still active (it is used as a switch to connect devices that don’t need internet), but router B is connected to the internet.I then removed the wifi connection to A, from my Play:3 speaker (via the Sonos S2 App). I then attached an ethernet cable from B to my Play:3 speaker. And it works perfectly. But still no wifi connection to B.Connecting my Play:3 speaker via ethernet cable is not solution (unfortunately) and I need to connect via wifi. But I cannot figure out how to do it. I have tried every to-do on this site and others. No luckWhen I try to add ‘a trusted network’ I press “Find System” and the little circle spins around 4-5 times and the times out and goes back to “Find System”…… not happy! What am I doing wrong?
My Sonos Roam freezes up EVERYTIME it is left alone for a while. This is unchanged whether it's charging on its base, or in standby mode, or left on. After a few hours of inactivity, it becomes completely unresponsive. The lights are on and pressing the button creates feedback noises, but it doesn't actually do anything, and it shows it to be disconnected in the Sonos app. The only solution is to power it down completely and start it again. It connects and works fine then, but sure enough a few hours later, problem reoccurs without fail. This is extremely frustrating. A quick search revealed that this seems to be a widespread problem. There's a reddit thread on this with people praying there will be fix soon. It seems like it started happening about 2 updates ago. The latest update did not fix this behaviour. Please advise. I've had this unit for less than 6 months.
Dears, regularly and without predictable pattern my Sonos Play:1 plays an alarm chime instead of my preselected radio station at the programmed alarm time. When I manually start the radio station from the app, at any time of the day (also around the time of the daily alarm) the same radio station plays instantaneously and without ever failing. I submitted a diagnostics under the reference 1951871084 Thanks for your support & recommendations. Jan Neujens
I have 2 speakers. They do not appear to be grouped however when I ask Alexa to play something through Amazon music I get the response “Amazon is streaming on another device. Do you want to stream on this device instead?”I’ve turned both off and on again. I’ve rebooted the router. I’ve also reloaded Sonos app. Now I can communicate with Alexa but cannot play any music from Amazon nor can I connect to a local radio through TuneIn.
Weird issue. Randomly, every few minutes, the volume on our playbar jumps to 50 - mid point - and must be turned back down. This happens whether we are watching TV (apple tv or direct) or listening to Spotify. The Playbar is not connected to any voice services. I’ve done the unplugging thing, system updates, etc. Any ideas appreciated.
I have a large Sonos network (majority shown below) so I understand there will be some performance variances across the ecosystem but some of these stats are beyond my skill level. For instance, both the Keeping Room speaker and Theater are within feet of the wireless mesh satellite and I have. I other competing networks in close proximity. The only possibility I can think of is they are seeing one of the other satellites. Thoughts?
Hello,I cannot manage to connect my Boost. I purchased 2 new speakers One SL and when I connected them, all my existing speakers disappeared. I tried several things with no success so decided to delete all systems and reconnect my speakers. I reinitialized all speakers and the Boost. I have been able to reconnect all speakers but not the Boost. It is not even detected by my IOS app…Any idea how to solve this?
