Since updating the controller to 7.3 and updating my iPhone iOS (not sure this has any impact) my spotify is repeating every second song. I start a play list, the first song starts and finishes in full, the second song starts and finishes and restarts. The it repeats every song on my playlists and streaming other lists. The UI shows the album art and name of the next song on as if its playing now but its replaying the previous song. This happens on both sonos and spotify connect. This is driving me mad! I am running: Sonos 7.3 Play 5 gen 2 2x play 3 Iphone 6 with iOS 10.3.2 Things I have tried: Unchecked repeat in both Sonos and spotify Uninstalled sonos and spotify apps on laptop, iPhone, Ipad Uninstalled the connection with spotify in sonos app Connected to a different spotify account Switched off all wireless devices in the house Switched off all sonos at the power Switched off the router, waited then switched back on and turned on only the Sonos. Connects b
I was extremely excited to update my Sonos system today after I read that the new 9.0 update was bringing AirPlay to Sonos finally! I currently own two Ones, two Play:1s, a Playbar, a Sub, and three HomePods. This update meant I could finally use my HomePods and Sonos system as one, cohesive experience. It turned out that not only could I not use my Ones as rear channels for my Playbar/Sub (if I want AirPlay support), but for whatever reason, when I try and play music from Apple Music on my iPhone, my Sonos Speakers and Homepods refuse to stay in sync. No matter what I do, the speakers only stay synced for 20-40 seconds before they start losing their place in the song. I’ll give it a few seconds to fix itself, but they refuse to stay synced together, with the speakers jumping all over the place. They’ll only stay synced if I stick to one speaker manufacturer at a time. (So only HomePod or only Sonos). I’ve invested thousands of dollars in these speakers over the years, I
I emailed Sonos with details of an error at the weekend - got a message promising a reply within 24 hours but have heard nothing - so though I would try here. In the past few week Spotify (Premium Family members) has become completely redundant on our Sonos system. None of us are able to play any Spotify tracks on Sonos - either from the Spotify app or from the Sonos Controller app. We have been through all of the suggestions (rebooting, removing Sonos, removing Spotify, checking Wi-Fi connection etc) and nothing has fixed it. We can stream from our Music Library to all devices (so we assume wi-fi is working fine ) and we can stream internet radio stations (so we assume Sonos has internet connection). I have submitted support diagnostics reference 1445143747. Any suggestions much appreciated
Sonos One Google Assistant and Youtube music premium - Playback paused because this account is being used in another location
Sonos One Google assistant and Youtube music premium Error: Playback paused because this account is being used in another location Sonos one bought in the UK, for at least 30% of songs it just skips the song and shows the above error. For example while playing Indian Summer by Jai Wolf
After I installed the airplay 2 update, my speakers are regularly cutting out (they never cut out before the update). I have airplay2 devices (sonos ones, playbase) but I am streaming directly from the sonos controller not using airplay2. I submitted a diagnostic. 28029680
I am getting many 1/8 second cut outs of sound from Sonos speakers. This seems to have started happening at the last software update a few days ago. Lipsync is fine, this is actual cut out of the sound. Nothing has changed other than the software update. This was working fine. Digital audio cable is connected fine. I tried turning SONOS off and used my TV internal speakers and the sound was fine, so this does look to be a problem when using SONOS system for TV shows rather than TV or cable provider. How do I fix this? Can I try rolling back the last software update?
Is anyone else running into their Move going offline constantly? I had it running for about a week or two switched the bridge and all Sonos appliances over to a new Wifi and now it goes offline constantly. I tried bringing it back online on both old and new Wifi Networks and it won’t stay online on either. Reset with the power, infiniti button onto charger whole nine yards get it to work for about 15-30min then it just stops and it is offline according to the app. Now here’s the fun part I can tap the play button on the Move itself and it will play a station but I have NO control over the station or skipping and nothing from the app as it shows as offline. It’s been about 4 days of this back and forth balogna and I just cant figure out what the heck is happening. Been through every option I can find. Using\not using True play, using\not using voice services updated the app and everything it’s maddening. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Having purchased a multi room set up. Following the instructions... the connectivity issues just never stop. 'Unable to connect' is a better name for sonos. Waste of money. Speakers drop out. Rooms drop out. Amd if you do get any sound - it drops out. Sonos will go out of business as soon as decent comp. comes along. Hire some engineers that know how to code, test...
Hi,Several of the search tabs in the S1 android app are causing the app to crash for me. In particular, Podcasts and Shows, Genres, Stations and perhaps a few others. Unaffected are Artists, Songs, and Albums. I can switch to the tab successfully, but when I start typing, the app unceremoniously closes. I’m on a Galaxy S9+. Anyone else experiencing this?I tried clearing the cash as well as reinstalling the app to no avail. Thanks,Stuart
I have recently installed a 3 zone system and I am completely impressed. In one room I have an existing Hi Fi consisting of Cyrus DAD3Q CD player, Cyrus 111i amp and Mission 752 speakers. I have connected a ZP80 to this and the sound is good but not quite as good (thin in the midrange) as music from the CD player. My digital music has been copied using itunes set to apples lossless format (can't remeber the propoer name). I want to try and acheive a similar sound as from my existing CD player so my first upgrade is to change out the Sonos supplied interconnects. The next upgrade would be to add a DAC and use the digital output of the ZP80. Are there any recommendations for a DAC as Cyrus do not make one to match the system I have. Thanks,
Since I updated to 8.5.1 I can no longer control the volume up/down on my PlayBar via my Harmony remote. I can open the Harmony App on my phone and scrub the volume bar for the PlayBar and it works, but the actual Vol+/Vol- commands do nothing. My Harmony is set to control the Sonos system directly via WiFi (not through some alternate volume command IR blast). It seems Sonos may have changed the API for the volume +/- commands? I tried removing all my Harmony activities, re-adding them, removing my Sonos devices, re-adding them, and I tried re-programing the buttons but nothing works. Everything was working perfectly fine (for 2+ years) before this update.
I wanted to post a few clarifications regarding SONOS and Spanning Tree Protocol that have been raised in this thread. SONOS ZonePlayers use 802.1D Spanning Tree (STP) for loop prevention between wired ZonePlayers and the wireless SonosNet Mesh Network. The Spanning Tree running on ZonePlayers is compliant with IEEE 802.1D and can inter-operate with other IEEE 802.1D and IEEE 802.1w compliant devices. Note: IEEE 802.1w is an updated version of the Spanning Tree protocol called Rapid Spanning Tree. The two types of STP protocols are compatible and 802.1w should revert to inter-operate with 802.1D devices (such as Sonos). Therefore, 802.1w Ethernet switches will work with Sonos ZonePlayers. SONOS ZonePlayers CAN be connected to Ethernet switches that do NOT support Spanning Tree as long as the Ethernet switches do not interfere with the STP BPDU packets transmitted between ZonePlayers. This is typically never the case and these switches pass the BPDU packets like any other packet.
I am having a problem with Spotify. I can play 1 track through Spotify (sometimes none) then the 'Connection to Spotify if Lost'. I have made sure everything us updated and turned everything on and off again and no joy. I dont know what else to do.
So I have a 3 room set up. Lounge - Playbar + 2x P1 for AS Kitchen - 1 xP3 Master Bedroom - 1 x P1 Recently when I have gone to control the speakers through any phone it is only showing the lounge, and without the SS. The kitchen still plays whatever was in the queue if I press play on the physical speaker but I can't adjust/change the music. This is consistant across multiple controllers and we have tried disconnecting and reconnecting to the sonos system . Can anyone provide any help in this matter? Happy to submit diagnostics Regards
Hi allI have a Panasonic 58-EX700B TV and 2 Play:1 speakers with a Beam. I've connected the beam to the TV via optical output and turned off the TV speakers and set the output to Bitstream (options are Auto/Bitstream/PCM). Sky Q is connected via HDMI to my TV (using the ARC port). I've set the sound to output Dolby Digital via HDMI. This all works fine except when I switch from a standard definition channel to a HD channel I get this awful beep from the Beam. Same when I switch from Netflix on my Chromecast back to Sky it happens as well. The only way to stop it is to change the sound output from the Sky Q box to Normal but to me the sound is inferior and I thought the whole point of having this setup would be to have everything in Dolby Digital?Any help would be great thanks
I have a Sonos One, Play 5 and Soundbase. When Airplay 2 first launched it worked seamlessly. After updating to the latest software it no longer works. When using 3rd party apps (spotify, apple podcasts, etc.) the 3 Sonos speakers still show up but when I select no sound plays, it drops and then it plays thru the phone again. Playing thru the Sonos app still works (but just not as convenient) Does anybody know what I can try to diagnose the issue? Submitted diagnosis report confirmation number is 17776062
I have a sonos bridge, amp, play 1 and play 3. Periodically the system starts playing by itself without being triggered. I only listen to music with pandora and each time it just plays my last used station. I submitted a diag report # 4162543. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I would like to see the option add to the desktop controller software to be able to modify the network settings of the ZonePlayers. For example - specify which ZPs use wired connections, which uses wireless and which uses both. And maybe even the option to specify a static IP address and default gateway. thanks Steve
We have a SONSO Play 3 and an iPhone 6 and a 6s. When playing music that is stored 'On this iPhone' the tracks skip half way through or playback stops altogether. The problem does not occur when playing from a different source, e.g. a streaming service or radio station. Playing music from the desktop app also works fine. SONOS firmware has been updated several times since this issue began. Similarly, iOS running on our phones has been updated several times too. Our router has also been replaced (it is a Vodafone Ultra Hub Gateway). I have assigned a static IP address for the SONOS and to our phones, but to no avail. The issue happens when playing from both phones. I have even tried keeping the phones and screens awake, but it still happens. I have read through many similar issues posted and tried various fixes but nothing works. Other that this, we have no intermittent issues with the WiFi. It is concerning that a large number of others appear to have this issue, but there doesn't seem

This is what I'm greeted with every time I try to use the Sonos app. I'm currently on Android app version 12.0.4. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling 12.0.3 which worked fine before this update but I'm having the same issues with that. I've completely reset all my speakers and set them up again this time using an iPhone.Everything works fine from the iPhone app.I have a 5.1 setup, 2 Ones, a sub and an arc. Turning the arc off and back on again allows me in as far as the main Sonos app screen but if I try to select any sound source e.g. Sonos Radio, TV etc. the app force closes and I am greeted with the 'Sonos keeps stopping' window every time I try to open it.This has made my almost €2000 setup impossible to use/control. Very disappointed.I'm using a OnePlus 7 Pro on Android version 10. I feel like I've tried everything and only an update to the so Sonos app might fix this but any help would be greatly appreciated as this has been going on for close to a week now. Thanks!
