I recently purchased a new roam this week after much anticipation. I am however very disappointed with the purchase. I am unable to keep the roam connected to WiFi. It works for a few hours but eventually disconnects and then the status like blinks from white to orange. I can hear the music skipping if I listen to the speak against my ear. The speaker itself makes a popping sound as it connects and disconnects from WiFi. The room works through bluetooth. The Sonos app shows the roam connected to the system despite the blinking light. The Sonos system is up to date, the roam is up to date and I am using the latest Sonos iOS app as well. I’ve gone through the forum’s posts on this subject and did hard resets, rebooted my WiFi. Nothing seems to work. My current system has five other speaks connected without issue, throughout the house. I’ve tried moving the roam closer to the router. Nothing seems to work and I am afraid that I’ve received a lemon… Edit as of this afternoon: Bluetooth do
I can’t search for radio stations currently. The Sonos app says my Sonos Radio account needs to be reauthorized. When I click on Reauthorize it comes up with an error msg saying ‘Unable to reauthorize Sonos Radio account’.ive deleted and reinstalled the Sonos app but that hasn’t worked. Can anyone help? Very frustrating!
Sonos Play 1 Amazon Music unlimited works flawlessly, but Google Play music prematurely moves on to the next track before the end of the song. This seems like a lack of compatibility between Sonos and Google Play music. It happens regardless of casting from the Google Play Music app, or from the Sonos App. All other streaming music services operate as expected. Google play music plays back correctly through my Nvidia Shield, Chromecast Audio and other chromecast devices. One of which sits near the Sonos, ruling out network connectivity issues, if the fact that other streaming services work fine wasn't enough to convince you. And of course when not Streaming through the Sonos Google Play Music works as expected on my Samsung S9. So far a bit disappointed with this product and the lack of support for Youtube Music as well.
Hi I have been trying to fix this for weeks now and its driving me mad. I have just started using my sonos play:5 again after about 6 months and Im getting the error regular. I fix it, then a couple of hours later or the next day its back again. when I click on a song its says cannot connect to xxxxx(insert song) because server cannot be found. I have been through this so many times i know whats going to happen next, if I click update library, it will say cant find (insert my name) computer. So I unshare/ share/.. firewall on / firewall off... change the computer name / restart and I usually get it working again eventually.I think its the changing the computer name that helps the most? My ipad and iphone work perfectly and I can see the songs I play from them in the queue of my computer controller. so it just seems to be the computer thats the problem running windows 10 BTW if that makes a difference .I have done a lot of reading about this problem in this community but haven't fo
If you have one of those Asus routers which support Quality of Service (QoS) feature to prioritize different kind of traffic (Streaming, Work from Home, etc.), this may be helpful to you. When I enabled this feature I had lot of issues with connecting to various Sonos speakers, or playing music on them, or adding a new speaker to the system, etc. Once I disabled QoS feature in the router, everything worked seamlessly.I have ASUS ZenWiFi AX6600 (XT8) router.
Since switching from Google Play to Spotify, every time I begin playing music on Spotify, the music cuts out, skips, and speaker groups fade in and out. This usually resolves itself in the first minute of playing the first song - but I never (that I can remember) had the issue with Google Play. I also had some issues with speakers cutting out periodically, which I seem to have largely fixed by hardwiring my Sonos Sub to my wireless router. Any ideas on how to fix the Spotify skipping? It makes me not want to play music.
Hi guys I have the following setups Lounge: playbar sub 2x play 5 gen2 Kitchen: 2 x play 1 Bathroom: play 1 Bedroom: 2x play 1 Office: play 1 The system runs fine however when I am playing music everywhere when I change track either via app or direct on the speaker I get a lot of lag between each speaker playing the song by a lot I mean if I skip forward a track it can start playing in the lounge a good 5 seconds before it starts playing in the bathroom Any ideas
Diagnostic 147347860EVERY TIME I want to play music I have to got to the living room; switch the plug on and off on the Playbar ( also added unplugging & plugging in the Ethernet too which I feel has slightly better success rate when combined with the switch on and off!).Tried everything I feel; firmware, I’ve taken the switch I had out my network; I’ve removed my second router from network; I’ve made sure 2g and 5g are same name; reset the virgin WiFi hub fully, made sure no guest network enabled… still every time… such an pain to listen to music; thought Sonos was supposed to be easy, clearly I’m not the only one with these issues, as seems a frequent topic but think I’ve tried the suggested solutions. I don’t have any issues with anything else connected in the house and have 250Mbs connection.
I've spent 3 days trying to get my playbar, sub, and 2 play-3 speakers set up and it keeps saying the WiFi password is incorrect even when I copy-paste from the router settings. It accepts the range extender network password, which is the same as the other one, but then tells me I can't use the speakers without the Boost. So now I'm stuck with thousands of dollars of speakers that don't work. I've tried changing the network password, deleting and reinstalling the app, resetting the speakers. I've tried plugging a speaker into the router but then the app doesn't even find it when searching for speakers to set up. Can anyone suggest something else to try?
I have 2 play 1 speakers. They run from a sonos bridge which is wired into my Orange live box via ethernet cable. I also have another access point in another room which is hardwired back to the bridge. I use Sonos mainly for my own library stored on an Apple Mac Pro. The whole set up is absolutely hopeless. Works fine during daytime but in the evening constantly drops out for up to an hour, fades comes back. I live in an old stone house with a fairly low download speed of around 5 mgb per second but I would not think the download speeds should make any difference as I play from my own library. I would appreciate any ideas on how to solve this issue.
My Sonos Arc has been working fine the last weeks but a few days ago the audio from TV stopped working? Seems like the Audio Return Channel function just stopped?I still see the wallpaper from Sonos when I choose the HDMI - ARC source on the TV, but no audio. I have tried all the regular stuff like unplugging the HDMI, cutting power and fiddled around in the TV settings.TV: LG 65UH7700Sonos Arc+subnothing else attached to the TVThis seems to be a similar issue that many people have, but I have found no definitive fix. Any ideas?
Woke up today to Sonos not workings… rest of network is fine. Attempted to reset (unplug..) and App can’t find them. Used “Fix It” and when it reaches the screen that asks “We found multiple Sonos Systems, Let’s confirm the one you want to update” and click “Continue” the app does nothing.. sits there. Deleted app, reinstall… tried on iPad and iPhone.. nothing. Anyone else? Suggestions?

Is there another method for logging in to my new router wirelessly? The router is installed very high up in a closet and I cannot easily do the wiring temporarily thing I see in all the instructions. That should not be the only method for dealing with this anyway! It's a wireless speaker! Please tell me there is another way. Factory reset? Thanks.
Hi, hope spmeone can help. I'm on latest Windows 10, and one of the great new features was to be able to Cast To my Sonos devices. However, since I've had a new Homehub 6, the Cast To feature now shows nothing. I've had a fresh windwows install courtesy off Microsoft, refreshed in cmd, and still no luck. Has anyone else had the same issue and resolved it? To recap, could Cast to Sonos, now can't after router change (btw BT help useless)
After updating to S1 my Sonos system worked as usual by following an update to version 11.2.3, build 57381090, my play 5 Gen 1 will no longer connect. I’ve tried all the solutions as per the app to add a missing product, including the factory reset on the speaker and powering down router and hard wiring the speaker with ethernet cable.I’m left with the mute and dash button flashing green.Given the CEO of Sonos gave a written assurance that the old speakers would work with the new software, that must mean i’m due a new speaker from Sonos as clearly this is not the case.Anyone else with this problem?
Every few weeks, the music library info in my Play 5 and Playbase speakers becomes corrupted. Sonos controller will start saying it cannot find the next song in the playlist, or the next, or the next and so on. The music library is stored on an up-to-date Win10 PC. The music library is managed by MusicBee (NOT iTunes). "Update Music Library Now" does NOT help. Reboot speakers does NOT help. The only solution: (1) Completely uninstall Sonos Controller app on PC and on Android phone; (2) Factory Reset the speakers and set up the system again. When will Sonos write the "Update Music Library Now" software so that it actually does what it says it does: "This will update the Music Library of your Sonos System to match any changes you have made in iTunes or other shared folders."
Hello, For the thousand time I again suffer from unstable Sonos. 'The connection to Spotify was lost' is a quite common issue. The other problems is players falling in and out, music skipping songs etc. I've tried my very best to buy quality products in all areas. I have a good stable 500 Mbps fiber connection to the internet. I have a Sonos Boost which is NOT placed next to any other wireless device. I've had a lot of help from Sonos support in the past but now the Sonos experience is again very unstable and frustrating. None of my speakers should be connected via the regular Wifi but are using the Boost. The regular Wifi runs on channel 1 while the Sonos Boost runs on channel 11. I use static DHCP in my Sophos XG Central Firewall so the Sonos should always have the same IP-address. All LAN-addresses have free access to WAN through the firewall. I don't know what I can do to fix this. Right now both Play:5 and the SUB will not connect even though I've restarted them by
I recently acquired a used Sonos Connect (Gen1) with a view to integrating my hifi (in a separate room) with my Sonos network of room speakers in the rest of the house. When connected by Ethernet cable, the Connect participates in multi-room play without a problem. When connected wirelessly, as soon as other rooms are included in the group, the Connect ceases to play while the other rooms continue to do so. I thought the location it was in might have only a weak wireless signal but this problem occurs (wirelessly) wherever the Connect is located. None of the other speakers have a problem connecting wirelessly. I also use a Sonos Bridge connected directly by Ethernet to the router to facilitate wireless connectivity. The reason why this cannot be solved simply by using a wired connection is that the room where the Connect is to be used cannot be reached by that method. Is this a configuration/set-up issue or is the Connect faulty? Thanks in advance for any advice.
Hi all, Sorry to start a new thread, but am in need of basic answers: I spent last night reading every thread I could find wrt workarounds on the 65K track limit. Frankly, most of it was over my head, technically speaking. But here's what I gleaned... 1) there is some kind of beta-type solution where something emulates a WMP server. But apparently it doesn't work with FLAC or ALAC, which is a dealbreaker for me. 2) Spoon/dbPA had some success with Asset, but I gather this now only works with the Desktop Controller? And it might 'break' when Sonos next updates the DC, which one would think is coming soon. Am I right so far? I own a Netgear ReadyNAS NVX NAS, but I gather this NAS is incompatible with the dbPA solution as it's not a Windows server/WHM product? I also own a Buffalo NAS: http://www.amazon.com/Buffalo-Technology-LinkStation-Performance-LS-V2-0TL/dp/B0042TW3J6/ref=dp_ob_title_ce Would the Buff be compatible with the dbPA solution?
