How to get Sonos to work in Apple HomeKit?

I have over 20 Sonos speakers in my home. They are all compatible with the new Sonos S2 app. When I try to create an automations in HomeKit such as arriving home, It always causes the scene to fail. When I remove the audio from the scene, it works fine.

I want to have my music to play to my speakers. I have selected the speakers to play and have selected the music in Apple Music and have checked it and adjusted the volume to where I want it to play. The artwork is shown when I get back to the Scene I am creating.

Can you give me suggestions on how to have this work if there is a way to make it work. If not, then please ask your technical team to consider adding this to a future update. Thank you very much.

Hi @fehoover, thank you for reaching out to the Sonos community.  I appreciate your detailed post describing the issue. Let me help you out with this.

Apple HomeKit lets you control smart home products using apps on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, or simple Siri voice commands with the key features to play, pause, skip, and volume control. You can add Sonos speakers as accessories and create names within the HomeKit app.

Let me ask you a few questions for us to provide some suggestions that you can follow.

1. Are both of your Sonos and Apple HomeKit in the same network?
2. Is Home is enabled in settings
3. Have you tried rebooting your network devices and all Sonos speakers?

If you're still having the same issue with Apple HomeKit automation, I recommend contacting Apple support to further assist you with this. You can also check out this video that might help you.

Please feel free to reach out in the future if you have any other questions. You're always welcome here.
