First Sonos - Working fine, then with Plex intergration - disconnects from Wifi and never comes back

Had my Sonos plugged in for a week. Playing random tunes from the app. No issue
then last night I set up Plex and the Plex Alexa app. Works for a bit and then all of the sudden Sonon stops working.

I check my Meraki access point, it's no longer connected and doesn't come back.

The Sonos speaker is on and I can plan music through the app but it seems Alex is non-responsive. After a reboot, the Sonos is indeed online but no Alexa service

Well, this is a bit of a let down... I had heard great things about Sonos and have used the systems at friends houses. Does support monitor these boards or am I in the wrong place?

Hi eeze,

Please check out the advice in this thread, which has some great troubleshooting advice. If that doesn't help, submit a diagnostic report and reply with the confirmation number. If you'd prefer to troubleshoot this live with our support team, give us a call.

It ended up being an Alexa issue, not related to Sonos. The Alexa app somehow had gotten stuck and rather than Alexa saying it wasn't connect, had no account, something wrong, it just said it had "difficult understanding" and that was it.

However, the problem I have now is more detailed. I've opened a case on Plex forum, but figured i'd do so hear just in case.
I'm trying to learn exactly what the Alexa/Sonos integration is. Is Alexa outputting to Sonos on some cable inside the box or is it DLNA or other.

Here is my Plex case.

Server Version#: latest
Player Version#: firefox browser.

I just got my Sonos and installed Plex. Having previously used Jriver, I’m familiar with how to set the server up.

Plex is working, I can play from apps, on my local network. Not an issue
Port forwarding is fine, port says it’s open within the plex server. I can also access my server on port : 15123 (I NAT this port to the inside 32400)

From my Sonos One with Alex, I’ve done the necessary account linkages and Alex can indeed talk to my Plex server as it can tell me my recently added tracks and some of the songs that are there.

However, if I say “Tell plex to play” it’ll say it’s telling plex to play and I see nothing happen on the plex server screen and therefore nothing happens on SONOS.

I’m at a loss for what to look for. Attached teh server logs if anyone can spare a few moments to take a look.

Saw this in the log, but not sure 100% how to read it

But when I ask plex who my players are, it says Server and Firefox (assume it’s my connection) - No Sonos/Alex?

I read this but not sure it’s applicable? My Sonis on 192.168.x.x/24 and my server is 192.168.y.x/32. And they are different networks with device isolation between them (a AP that has a firewall)

I guess what I really need to ask is.

Has anyone gotten the Alexa > SONOS > Plex integration working?

If anyone else finds this thread - It doesn't work. Sonos cannot be summoned to play content from WLAN side regarding of PLEX/UPNP/DLNA etc.
