existing system not recognized

I have a Play:3, Play:5 and connect (not sure if it's an amp). The controller on my iPhone 7 works fine and recognizes the system. However it does not recognize my iTunes playlists (hasn't updated them either). My iMac is not recognizing my system at all. I've been waiting to speak with someone from Sonos...maybe I'll get an answer more quickly this way...
