Connection to Spotify lost

Over the last few months my sonos setup has consistently been unable to play the first track of a play list or album, an error stating the connection to Spotify was lost is shown and it then skips to the second track which then play fine.  Although this second track will stop playing at the 6 second mark for approximately one second before resuming. 


I've been out of the house for several weeks and now find Spotify does not connect at all and states the same error for every track in the play list as it attempts to play each. 


Audible and amazon music work fine consistently.
