Connecting Line-In on Play5

Equipment by room: Playbar with two Play1s; 2 Plays1, Play5.
This concerns the room with the Play5. I'm attempting to connect an Ipad to the line-in on the play 5. I want to connect my Ipad. The Line-in shows "connected". Using the Advanced Audio/Line-in/Line-in Source Level I have it set to Level 8 (Portable player, PC). I've also adjusted the source level between Level 1 AND level 10. I checked that the ipad mini plug works on an independent speaker. I also checked two different mini-plug cables. All my google searches don't produce a different solution than what i've already attempted. Seems like it should be pretty simple. I really appreciate any help.

Did you choose the Line-In source from the browse tab? If so, try increasing the volume on the iPad.
