Connect amp issues.

Connect amp is working but no sound coming out. It is linked to a player as the surround supplier.

The player is working fine and the wifi network is working well. however i had an issue with the router the other day and had Virgin out to assess problem. could there be and IP issue of the units even though the volume button works on the Amp as well on the player.?
any advise please

Hi Neil

Welcome to the community!

Could you submit a Diagnostic and reply with the number.

To confirm you have the Connect:Amp setup for your rear surrounds?

Do you also get no sound if you play music to the room?

Many thanks
Hi matt,

Cheers for getting back.
Briefly. There is no spund at all.
I will do diagnostics tonight and post again as not indoors right now.

Neil

Hi Neil,

In order to use your CONNECT:AMP as a rear speaker for the PLAYBAR it needs to be wired into the network as well as the PLAYBAR. It looks like your CONNECT:AMP is wired in but your PLAYBAR is not. You could instead wire the CONNECT:AMP to the PLAYBAR. Please try either option and let me know if you still have any issues.
Hi there. I have managed to wire them both into the system but still no sound.
I have done another system diagnostic and the number is 7352232.
Please take a look and let me know if you see anything wrong.

Sorry for the misunderstand here. At the moment your PLAYBAR and CONNECT:AMP are connected to each other. This is correct. But you'll need to also wire the PLAYBAR or CONNECT:AMP to the router.
Once connected reboot both devices and try again.

Here's an article about it: Setting up the CONNECT:AMP as rear speakers.
Hello again,
The official full set up is as follows.
The router is connected to the whole house via a switch in the loft.
unfortunately the lounge is the only room that is not covered by this method so have had to use the electrical sockets.
So from the loft 1 output is connected to a wall socket.
From a socket in the lounge the network is connected into an Apple Airport timecapsule with 4 outputs.
1 connection to wall to supply playbar and subsequently the TV (as they are wall mounted.
1 connection for Sonos Amp
1 connection for virgin
1 connection for playstation

Internet works fine on all deviced just need to know if I need to connect them any differently.
would have been easier as a diagram but cant draw on here.

regards,
Neil
