I have a Sonos Beam connected to the ARC port of my 2016 Samsung TV. It works fine with my FireTV plugged into the HDMI DVI port with no problems.

When I have the Chromecast 2nd Gen plugged into the other HDMI STB port the Beam works fine initially, but when turn off the TV and come back a few hours later, the Beam stops working and the only way to get it working again is to cold boot all devices.

I'm having the exact same issue, but with the Chromecast Ultra.
I managed to get around the issue. Had to fork out £10 for one of these widgets that block CEC. https://www.amazon.co.uk/LINDY-HDMI-Less-Adapter-Female-Black/dp/B00DL48KVI
I was having the same problem but wanted to keep the voice commands for Google. I didnt like the idea of paying $25 for a little adapter to disable the CEC.

Had an idea to buy a smart outlet and plug the Chromecast into that. Set my Google routine to turn the Chromecast off before the TV, and turn the Chromecast on after the TV. Works like a charm and if a fix ever comes out ill have an extra smart outlet.
