CEC not working on Arc + Shield + Arcana

I have a song 4K TV, with a shield as my OS. Shield then goes into an HD Fury Arcana (as TV does not have eARC) which then goes into my Arc 5.1.2 surround system.

However I cannot get the volume to work over CEC. It works if I bypass the Arcana, but the Arcana is set to use CEC, so I’m at a loss. If I take the Arcana out of the equation and keep the same settings then CEC works.

Has anyone got this setup to work with CEC and if so any tips on what else I can try.

I managed to get the Arcana setup this evening with CEC, however in the process I’ve managed to mess something up; DTS files in Plex will now not play sound at all, even when the Arcana is between the shield and the tv. I’m 99% sure that the arcana sorted this problem, or perhaps it was LPCM kicking in. Either way none are working and I’m slightly confused. If I turn off HDMI passthrough then I get audio, but Plex is handling the transcoding from DTS to AAC.

Any advice on this setup welcome. I revisited an old thread I was part of (https://en.community.sonos.com/topic/show?tid=6842255&fid=228993) but didn’t get anywhere...

I believe you’ll want Plex to covert to Dolby Digital, not AAC. Please see our Supported home theatre audio formats page.
