Beam Sound Quality: Squawky Sound at Certain Frequencies

I have Sonos speaker throughout my house. I am a huge fan, but I must admit I’m disappointed in the Beam.  At certain frequencies there is a squawky sound that is very unpleasant. Almost sounds like some kind of clipping or bad compression.  It’s not all the time.  I’ve tried to live with it but it’s really bad.  Anyone else have this issue?

I have two Beams and have not personally noticed the issue.. maybe try with TruePlay switched off, or at least try re-tuning the Beam again to the room.

I am getting distortion at the lower level. I’m working with Sonos right now to solve the problem.

I would recommend factory resetting the speaker. Add it back to your system, and after the setup, let me know if the Beam is still experiencing audio quality issues during playback.
